What’s fricked up os that the LSU crooks are trying to make Wade the scapegoat. I can’t believe Funnes laundered money from the foundation to buy players . fricking ginger

Exactly. Why not just donate to the LSU Foundation directly? The LSU Foundation makes a big deal of stating their funds are "private" funds. Can someone explain why they would need to have gone trough OLOL.

The LSU Foundation is not stupid enough to use that entity to funnel money for athlete payments. Although it's a private organization, it's way too close to the school. Need to use a group completely removed from the school to do this.

* assuming this is what happened.

Does the firing of Mike McBride have anything to do with all this?

I don't think anything is off the table, but I would be surprised. Seems like McBride and the nuns didn't work well together, i.e. McBride wanted to actually be in charge.

So why does a hospital need donations? Is it preordained that new hospitals will lose money?

Usually for expansions, and to help cover costs for poor people

No way the rumors are true that booster after booster donated money knowing it would be funneled to athletes. C'mon.

I don't have much faith in LSU admins right now, but this would have so many hands in the cookie jar, so many people involved and so widely known it would have never been kept a secret for the 10+yrs people are talking about.

Not directly. Apparently he wanted to fire Scott Wester, the OLOL hospital CEO, who was Funes’s boss over the way this whole thing has been handled. Wester is apparently loved by the sisters (the nuns who own OLOL) for some reason and they chose Wester over McBride.

If this is true and I'm a booster.....I want my God damn money back because the ROI is abysmal.

You didn't give enough. That's why we lost Lester Earl.

Even if there are, the big jump, and the one that even the guys pushing the theory on here aren’t sure about, us how exactly the money was distributed to LSU recruits and players. That might not be easily traceable or proven, even if it happened

Don’t worry. LSU will self impose penalties instead of forcing the ncaa to prove it.

Because LSU can’t pay the family of recruits to come to LSU.
