He asked to be judged on his 3rd season. Many are taking him up on that. 8-4 is not we want, but we are stuck with him probably 2 more years at least.

He's never been at a place that was a pressure cooker the way the LSU job is. Not even at ND, they were coming off of Ty Willingham and Weis disasters and just wanted to be respectable again, wasn't really under pressure to win a title (and don't have conference titles to play for or conference foes to measure yourself against), while LSU has had their last 3 coaches win titles and play in the most cut-throat conference that has 8/16 teams with titles since the BCS era started.
I'm all for having confidence is where the program is headed even if there were serious warts throughout the season, the defense was still much better than it was last year and the offense finally clicked against a good OU defense. It just makes you look really insecure when you start talking about keeping receipts because of valid criticisms you got throughout the season. It's Ryan Day being mad at Lou Holtz kind of energy.

I mean, we were warned by ND fans that this exact situation would play out and some scoffed at it.
He beats up on bad teams, puffs his chest about "next year", and the merry-go-round continues.

for the vandy game, after the first three and out, you could hear a coordinated chant from the student section "fire Kelly, clap clap clap" idk if it was loud enough for him to hear with his headphones on, but the players were turning around and could hear it.

It’s unbelievable how ignorant people are on the Rant. What he said was that he and the TEAM hear the noise from the fanbase and are focused on getting to the Championship. The TEAM will be playing with a chip on their shoulder- the keeping receipts comment
