No. You guys just need to come to realization he’s just not a good quarterback. Enough with the sunshine pumping.

Nuss has better arm talent than both but his decision making is bad and he doesn’t have NFL WR like the other too so eh probably not

Is it possible? Sure.

Is it likely? No.

I was bullish on both after their first years. Called 'em both as getting invites to NY. They both went well beyond what I was expecting but they had showed poise and leadership even when their numbers were average. Nuss sucks at playing from behind. Even earlier in the year when his numbers were solid he was getting away with risky throws that better defenses would have picked. Then he got the fumbles. I'm not nearly as high on Nuss in year two as I was on Burrow or JD.

Guys. Why keep making these threads? He is a 1st round pick in all the mock drafts. He is gone.

He can certainly improve, but a big difference is he won't have back to back seasons with 1st RD WRs. Burrow had 2 years with Chase and Jefferson and JD had 2 with Nabers and Thomas.

I think his decision making will get better and the game will slow down a bit for him, but Burrow and JD were uniquely talented. JD was athletically as well as mentally talented as in being un flappable and Burrow had the ability to read defenses and process at a pro-level.

He’s got to have some help at O-line and receiver. This year’s group is underwhelming.

Burrow seemed more like a game manager his first year and he took care of the ball well outside of the UF game. Of course, he has just transferred in and had a few months to learn new players and a new offense.

Nuss has been here, but didn't have that much experience. He could certainly improve significantly, but what Burrow did was jaw dropping from year 1 to year 2. Burrow had great instincts that started showing in his first season. Nuss hasn't shown the instinct to take off and run or throw a ball away much at all yet. But he can still potentially get a lot better.

Sure, he could develop into something akin to Burrow with a little legwork and the kind of focused mental work Burrow put in the summer before and during his last year.

He'll never be what JD was though.

From what I have seen, he has improved none at all so the chances are slim to none.

No one likes to talk about burrow and Daniels first years, but this is basically Nuss’ equivalent if he comeback.

Can he do what they did?
Sure, he can. But the whole narrative about Nuss is like Burrow and Daniels in having little experience at LSU prior to this year is hollow.

Burrow had 39 pass attempts before his first year at LSU in 2018. Burrow's first year was not as good as Nuss's first year:

Burrow 2018
QB Rating: 133.21
Comp%: 57.8%
TD:INT: 16:5

Nussmeier 2024
QB Rating: 138.22
Comp%: 63.2%
TD:INT: 23:11

Daniels had many more pass attempts before coming to LSU, but 2022 was his first year at LSU with the LSU coaching staff. And let's be clear, Daniels first year at LSU was much better than Nuss's "first year" at LSU.

Daniels 2022
QB Rating: 144.54
Comp%: 68.6%
TD:INT: 17:3

Nussmeier 2024
QB Rating: 138.22
Comp%: 63.2%
TD:INT: 23:11

This is Nuss's fourth year at LSU. He had 219 pass attempts before this season. Yes, he can improve, and I expect him to improve. But his QB Rating and Comp% have not dramatically improved from his his first year at LSU.

Anything’s possible but I just don’t think he has what it takes.

No chance.

Agree.
Burrow had Clyde, Chase and JJ and a defense.

Daniels had Nabers, Thomas and himself as the running game. No defense and look how many games they lost.

Nuss has mediocre receivers, no defense and no running game.

The fact that you think LSU players actually read this website is unbelievable. What’s even worse is that you think the players would base their future off of the idiotic statements made here.

With a new OC and NFL caliber receivers? Absolutely he would be improved and make a big jump.

This board was of the opinion that Burrow was merely serviceable until the TAMU game in 2018. This place thought Nuss should take the starting job from Daniels after the FSU game lat year.

This should tell you that most on this board don t know schidt
