Can anyone truly tell me they believe this team runs an offense.

Or plays help side defense and when did LSU get a PG who thinks he is Allen Iverson. But can't score.

We don't have very good shooters but the fact that one out of every 3 or 4 possessions lead to shot clock violations or airmailing a shot says more to me

They run a few plays

They also don’t screen well, shoot well, rebound well, and don’t even try to score in transition (not that they actually could or anything)

Maybe I don't understand "modern" basketball but why would you go through the exercise to act like you are setting a ball screen and then 1)never come to a complete stop, thus opening the door for an illegal block if contact is made with defensive player, or 2)ball handler doesn't get close enough to screener to effectively gain an advantage coming off the pick. Any ideas about the intentionality of this "psuedo-screen" instead of being more effective?

All you guys are right.

Tigers roundball features no organized structure and terrible execution on offense.

It is totally mystical how one of the players will have a big game and then totally disappear the next. Fountain had a great game before this one and looked like he had realized he had to contribute to the scoring. Tonight it was back to the same old Fountain who didn't want to shoot. Last game he was 2-2 on three point shots. Tonight he didn't shoot one until the last shot of the game when it didn't mean a thing and he hit it. I saw him hesitate and pass up an open 12 foot shot tonight. Time and time again we pass up fairly decent shots until it is late in the shot clock and then we have to shoot a desperation shot. The whole offense seems to be to try and set up Miller for a three pointer when he is only shooting 31% from there and 34% overall. He also leads the team in turnovers and loses the ball while constantly dribbling trying to get a shot off.
The freshmen are finally showing some improvement and should get more playing time. Why can't Phillips and KJ play at the same time. Ward should start at guard instead of Miller. I know McMahon sees the same things I do. Why is he so powerless to change things up and get them to play better?

It’s a ghost screen. Look it up (or watch any other basketball game other than LSU and you will see a million of them)

Show me where WE ran one. It was the boards biggest problem with him until of course he’s fired and becomes everyone’s favorite coach of all time.
How can you run anything or win anything when in Div 1 basketball you go 13 minutes without a made field goal with 5-6 missed lay ups and 6-7 straight up air balls……

WE HAVE NO TALENT BE PATIENT JESUS

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity they say right?

State adjusted late in the first have to what we were doing defensively, we never did.

I would say try pressing, which we really have not tried all year, do maybe generate some turnovers and easy baskets...but hell, you gotta make a basket to press.

Or not even play at all in the last two games. Why is Hannibal not playing? At least he's had a few games where he created some points.

MM needs to emphasize taking 10-15 foot jumpers, because those dudes can’t pitch it in the ocean if they were standing in it Their shot selection, especially when they are slightly behind or ahead, is shitty. The whole team is pretty rotten at finishing at the rim also. MM can definitely be better but the players has major issues.

He was listed as injured for this last game. May have been the reason for the previous one as well. Obviously there is a reason as I can't really fault his play much.

McMahon is the worst basketball coach at LSU in over 50 years. He will not win at the rate Jones did and he will not reach the heights Johnson reached.
