Did anyone else hear of the broadcast announcers talk about how LSU has raised the money to move the bullpens off the field and we’re planning on doing it for next year? I don’t remember seeing/reading anything on this so I was surprised by that comment.

Believe it was Game 3 before the intentional walk on Crews, when Morgan popped up into the Kentucky Bullpen and the ball wasn’t caught.

I don't know if it was written about by the reporters, but it's been mentioned here a few times.

It's been number 1 on Jay's list of improvements to the Box since he got here.

Yes. I think Jay's exact comment was "I'm sick of this bullshite"

That’s funny because on Thursday they were talking about the Box needing to get them off the field.

Someone must have heard the broadcast and sent them a memo

CJJ mentioned having plans for a Box renno on his desk several weeks ago. Was not specific what they were. I am betting we DO move the bullpens just beyond the fences. That can be done relatively cheaply.

They are going to build them under the field. Think like a pitching tunnel

Yea that was something they said was Jay wanted them gone. I know it has been discussed here a lot, along with other improvements to Alex Box. Just was surprised to hear the announcer talk about it, like it was a done deal.

Think he said something like that won’t happen next year when the Bullpens are moved. Then he went into further detail about it.

Let’s get a running tally of all the LSU players injured due to the bullpens being on the field at the Box since 1984.

Y’all go, I can’t recall any.

There were supposed renovations in place and then the pandemic happened. There needs to be about $50m+ of upgrades.

I mean my point of this thread to ask the question, has anything official been announced. I live out of state in the delusional land of the Razorbacks, so I was curious if there was something official I missed.

Jay wanted to do it before this season but the cost was more than they were anticipating. So it makes sense they're waiting until this offseason.

Not LSU, but Anthony Rendon when he was at Rice got hurt pretty bad in a regional or a super here.

Longer than he would've been if the trash arse inner-city park bench wasn't there.
