Major Burns- played like his hair was on fire
Ward- played with intensity too

Campbell- hear me out. He is definitely a freshman and got beat at times but there’s a reason they moved Verse on Wire.

Thomas Jr- he’s a mismatch. Just give him the ball

Overall I thought Jayden did well. I think he can and will improve.

Major Burns
Jay Ward
Greg Brooks
Also think the boundary corners played well

No quit in anyone not named Boutte.

We were down 24-10 and scored a late TD. Defense forced a 3 and out to get the ball back. We muff a punt inside our own 10, and the defense keeps fighting, allowing FSU to pull a Cliff Clavin. We march 99 yards in less than two minutes.

This team has a lot of chest.

bad OL and bad play calling through the late 3rd quarter handcuffed Daniels.

Even so, he finished with 73.5% and led 3 long TD drives on our last 3 possessions.

Daniels played well — this board needs to remember his OL was terrible and the play calling didn’t adjust to that unfortunate fact until too late.

Ward played hard and was flying around but I swear he would beat his chest after tackling an FSU player that just gained 15 yards. But he did play well.

Ojulari was great. I watched him a lot and he is fast twitch as hell and seems a good bit stronger.

Too much tuck it and run when the first read isn't open, he needs to fix that if he can

Campbell was not a bright spot, true freshmen or not.

Man maybe I missed it but I thought Ward missed a lot of tackles. He plays hard but doesn’t wrap up very well.

Ward and Brooks can hit and are good blitzers. They are awful in coverage. Brooks had lost his starting job at ARK halfway through last season bec of his coverage issues.

He missed a couple, you’re right. He went for pass breakup hits on bigger players and bounced off. Made lots of great tackles too though and hustled his arse off.

Yes he was. Outside of a couple plays, for a Freshman, that was definitely a nice start to his VERY young career. Your son must hate you if you’re this hard on him after his first game

I saw 2nd half only

What I saw of Campbell looked solid.

End of the game was prevent defense without that JD would have continued to struggle. Fsu dialed back the blitz that was causing us so many problems. Our line and JD looked better because of this. There were a few bright spots but not many. Ward was a beast.

Campbell will be a very good one, but it was evident multiple times that he’s very young. Watch him on the first snap of the game - he gets effortlessly driven back.
