Campbell played a lot better than the veteran Wire… he was the cause of a lot of plays not being executed correctly…

Jenkins- Clutch as usual
Thomas Jr- impressive in the limited opportunities he got
Burns- played hard and made good tackles most of the game
Garner- played well for the most part they went after him a lot and he held his own
Daniels- carried the offense down the field multiple times. Denbrock needs to cater to the quick passing game and try to establish a running game before trying to call a bunch of long developing intermediate/deep routes plays.

Really? I thought they were overly concerned with getting beat deep so they gave ridiculous cushions and gave up first down all night.

Plus, they hot beat deep.

Bright spots:
Defense - Played hard and never quit. Solid against the run.
Offense - Looked better when they went no-huddle, hurry-up offense.
Special teams - One great punt and that’s it.

Dull spots:
Offense- No rhythm for most of three quarters. People on here will debate about Daniels, o-line and who is at fault, but there is plenty of blame to go around.
Defense - Could’t get off the field on third down. Seemed several times that they were in zone and struggled to account for the middle of the field.
Special teams - Just a mess. No where to go but up, I guess.

Really impressed with Ward and Burns. I think JD did well considering we had a Bengals-esque OL last night.

Man maybe I missed it but I thought Ward missed a lot of tackles. He plays hard but doesn’t wrap up very well.
there were at least two 3rd down conversions that happened because Ward was trying to make a big hit instead of tackling.

Bright spots:

Daniels (4th quarter only)
Miles Frazier
Major Burns
Jay Ward
Greg Brooks
Also think the boundary corners played well

FIFY

If they recognize that Daniels operates best going up tempo for most of the game they will be decent enough to win 7 or 8 games.

If they keep playing the conservative, run first, slow developing passing offense bullshite it’s going to be a rough season.

I forgot to include - Ali Gaye’s hit was embarrassing. Bush league. I hope he sits more than a half next week.

I saw people giving the DL shite for being overrated all night, but they only gave up 132 yards of rushing and most of that came outside. They held the middle and got pressure, even though we were down 2 guys at the end of the game.

D line played well, backers and safeties missing tackles made them look bad

We may need to see Harold Perkins play sooner than later.

Sun cane up this morning

My Florida State friends were so excited to win that weren’t total pricks at my watch party

Someone brought me a TD coolie since I couldn’t go to the get together

Nabors muffs 2 punts on the night and still comes back on the last drive and has two big catches.

The team didn’t quit.

Agree with all, except this.

I thought they were too concerned with getting burned deep, so they gave huge cushions that were exploited over and over for first downs.

Then they got burned deep when they bit on the flea flicker fake.

What about Garner? He had a stellar night at CB and no one has mentioned him yet

Mason Taylor missed his block on the PAT, but showed a lot of promise otherwise.
He’s gonna be good.

4th quarter

If we can keep playing like that, we can do great things

No quit in anyone not named Boutte.

We were down 24-10 and scored a late TD. Defense forced a 3 and out to get the ball back. We muff a punt inside our own 10, and the defense keeps fighting, allowing FSU to pull a Cliff Clavin. We march 99 yards in less than two minutes.

This team has a lot of chest.

Awesome point. Post of the day candidate.
