He looks like he has the frame of a TE. With good athleticism and years of practice he could have possibly played.

I guess you never played a sport, but lots of tennis players wear head bands or hats to keep hair out of eyes, etc, protect from sun. Some find that the bill of the hat affect their site line on the ball for serves and over heads, so put it backwards.
