I noticed Spikes giving Ojulari, Wingo, and Gaye a ton of praise on the SECN recap show. They really have played well considering the massive hit we took when we lost Maason Smith.

Also, kudos to House for figuring out how to use Perkins so effectively as a pass rusher within our defensive scheme. I think it’s easy to oversimplify the whole “don’t let him leave the field” thing.

Di he e plain why JD refuses to throw the ball to open receivers

It appears that Jaden does not anticipate where recievers routes will be.

He can't throw it until after the receiver makes his break

Combine that with slow developing pass routes and JD reverts to tuck and run as soon as he feels pressure.

having a spy for our spy. RB's who stay in to help specifically on Perkins, for example.

NFL teams have done this for guys like Von Miller and Micah parsons. Their stats might get hurt but it hampers the offense more to lose a RB. Big time impact even if stats go down.

I think this falls in the category of any publicity is good publicity for the program. All it says is that we care about the players and will do what it takes to win, other people’s opinions be damned.

Exactly: our Headcoach along with our Strength and conditioning coach just came from multiple cold climate football coaching jobs. Perhaps they know more about nutrition in cool weather than the casual fans.

Did he explain why Jayden Daniels refuses to throw the ball to open receivers or appears to be scared of throwing the ball?

Why would he? That didn’t happen. It’s some fantasy that is pushed here by a “certain” group of posters on this sight for “reasons”.

How do you really know though? Yes he had a great game but Arkansas is not a powerhouse offense. What if he hadn’t been sick? Maybe he’d have had 7 sacks.

Pretty sure it did. We froze the video and when you could see downfield on several occasions there were wide open receivers on many plays. At least he could’ve thrown the ball away instead of taking a sack. He cost us at least 50 yards in field position.

You do realize video doesn’t give you the best angles and true depth perception right? It’s a piss poor way to judge things. You also can’t see who might be right outside the frame.

I’ve heard from many that attended the game that the receivers were not getting as open as they should have been and JD was not given a lot of time to throw due to the pressure from Arkansas. They were absolutely pushing our Oline around.

Usually yes, but he didn’t really do that as much in that game. I believe they tried to work on him staying in the pocket more in this game. If you noticed, many of his sacks were in the pocket. That was not the norm before this game. I think they told him to try to stay in the pocket more to work on his passing but did not expect Arkansas to be as aggressive as they were and we never changed that game plan. If you go back and watch that game compared to the Florida, ole miss and Bama game, he rarely left the pocket. He’s not a pocket passer and never will be. He does much better on the run. Kind of like how Johnny Manziel was.

Did you just have a different camera angle than us

One that showed both WRs downfield and also where all the defensive players were at? Also I've noticed many idiots will point to a wide open WR on a play when the ball was already released or the QB had already tucked it and ran... it's a very common mistake. And people with low IQs can't realize that they are so open because the defender gave him up when he was no longer a threat to catch the ball.

We all watched the same game as you. I'd love to see these freeze frames. Several occasions you say. Whole game should be posted somewhere... PROVE IT. Time stamps will work. I won't even ask you for pictures.
