Tidbits:
- LSU (8-2) hosts UAB (5-5) this Saturday in the home finale (senior night)...kickoff at 8pm CT on ESPN2.

- LSU is a 14.5 point favorite. Over/under is 52.5 points.

- Harold Perkins named SEC Defensive Player Of the Week for second straight week. He was also named Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week. He finished the game with 4 sacks, 8 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, a pass breakup and a QB hurry. Joined a list of only 4 players in last 15 years of FBS football with 4 sacks and 2 forced fumbles in a game.

- Gave his thoughts and prayers to UVA and the families of the shooting victims.

- Gave kudos to Arkansas for being well-prepared and well-coached.

- Team is doing right things to find ways to win games...developing winning habits both on and off the field.

- LSU honoring 17 seniors on Saturday.

- UAB has one of top RB's in country in Dewayne McBride (over 1400 yards)...UAB has good offense with a veteran lineup.

- UAB has a bunch of close losses...they will be a challenge for LSU.

- What will LSU address with offense this week? Arkansas defended LSU well defensively and LSU has to do better job at making adjustments.

- Flu has impacted the team...but doesn't think it affected LSU's performance.

- Chicken broth, hot chocolate, etc on sideline was Dr Frank's idea...salt content and nutrients for players that needed it.

- Not game prepping for UGA yet...focus on UAB and then A&M

- Regarding 3-man front by Arkansas...LSU has seen it the most this year...Arkansas was aggressive on the edges and LSU didn't take advantage of it.

- LSU offense will need to prepare for aggressive defenses since Arkansas had so much success putting pressure on Daniels.

- Some of Perkins success was result of pressure and play of other players on defense...Front 7 was outstanding.

- Running backs have been watching a lot of film with Frank Wilson to learn how to read defense for pass blocking purposes...Josh Williams has figured it out the best.

- Greg Penn and the linebackers...Says it was Penn's best game. Tolan challenged him for playing time and Penn responded to the challenge.

- On the senior class: many have already graduated...some may come back due to extra year given to them due to COVID. Baskerville stands out to coach: got his degree, he is a leader and he has been inspirational, overcame past, took care of business off the field, etc.

- Brian Thomas injury status...went through next step of concussion protocol yesterday...coach is hopeful is can have contact in practice on Wednesday.

- John Emery is fine...just a bruise.

- Coach pleased with Damon Ramos's growth and consistency

Kelly will provide fans with his truthful insight into what’s going on with LSU’s offense. That is part of what makes him so loved and respected as LSU’s coach.

They won't ever come out and say it to take credit away from the other team, but it definitely was a factor.

Kelly just talked about them preparing for how teams may try to neutralize Perkins going forward, mentioned offenses having a spy for our spy. RB's who stay in to help specifically on Perkins, for example.

I thought that was really interesting, and shows how much work this staff puts in.

Did he explain why Jayden Daniels refuses to throw the ball to open receivers or appears to be scared of throwing the ball?

Never in my life have I see something like this be a talking point to a head football coach.

Who really gives a shite what was on the sideline?

Pretty sure this didn't happen a lot Saturday.

I have a friend who used to work in the athletic department of a few colleges, 2 in the SEC, and his quote to me Saturday was "you have no idea how big of a baby receivers are in the cold, lol".

Arky started to do this a bit as the game went on, specifically when Hornsby looked to run.

Kelly blamed the lack of offense on his coaches lack of preparation for how aggressive Ark’s ends were. Said that will never happen again!

“mentioned offenses having a spy for our spy.”

I’m picking up a Mad Magazine vibe. ??

This!! Players playing in almost freezing temperatures with the flu will be a bit sluggish!! Also they needed that kind of game to make them refocus

. Pretty sure it did. We froze the video and when you could see downfield on several occasions there were wide open receivers on many plays. At least he could’ve thrown the ball away instead of taking a sack. He cost us at least 50 yards in field position.

Yes. We know. You have disdain for JD.
And all individuals have exactly the same flu symptoms.
