Once Nuss was hit a few times he was throwing off his back foot every single time even on check downs. The play calling was more to blame than him it appeared but there is no denying Moss looked slightly more prepared. That’s coaching

No, he wasn't.

The bad Anderson pass? That was built for JD.

Meh. Any QB who doesn’t have stone feet can execute a rolling pocket pass. Nuss hit at least one accurately earlier in the game for a nice gain. He just missed that one. Nothing wrong with that play call, especially when the opposing team is bringing a lot of middle pressure.

Totally agree on the mesh plays though. Either we have to use the alternate options available for the play to be respected, or the staff has to stop calling them.

I think RPO would be lethal with Nuss with Taylor and Lacy looking as reliable as they did last night, but you have to throw some out of them or the run option will never work.

BK needs to watch the film.

Nuss played fricking awesome. Joe Sloan fricked him and our team with shite playcalling and brainwashing Nuss to throw it away or throw it to his dump off too quickly.

What a chicken shite thing to say. Nuss played pretty damn good until Kelly decided to play old school keep away in the 2nd half.

Can you imagine that you're Nussmeier hearing your own coach publicly throw you under the bus?

they tried running it over and over and over....

that’s

not

true

we threw more than we passed on all but 2 drives.

One we ran twice got 7 yards and then Nuss checks down to the only WR short of the line to gain

and one we ran lost yard three a 14 yard pass and then got stuffed on 3rd and 1

every other drive we threw more than we ran. Nuss just kept throwing underneath.

It is true in the second half. There were two drives of run run short pass. So yeah you're full of shite.

no there was 1 Run Run Short Pass drive

one Run Pass Run

and here’s the thing… if we run twice and set up 3rd and Short…. that’s not bad.

We didn’t call a 2 yard pass. Taylor was open about 8 yards down the field.

That last possession we almost break the toss to Emery then we run that stupid PA with the behind the line route to Anderson that Nuss bounced with the DE in his face. Why not run the toss again or set up to run it but instead of a pass just hand it to Anderson on the sweep going back the other way? Worst case scenario you’re in 3rd and short with any call available. There’s no forgiving the 4th quarter play calling.

This is a fricked up thing to say postgame in my opinion.

Moss was given more opportunities in the 2nd half, and was helped a lot by the Major Burns penalty on his only TD pass. Not just in that it gave him a chance to take a shot risk-free, but Burns also took himself out of the play after trying to get back. So no blitz on that play.

Well unfortunately Daniels isn’t walking through that door anymore. So if you are interested in the team winning in the Post Daniels Era, you’d better hope Kelly finds a solution and quickly.

Exactly. Look back at Brady Quinn, and how Kelly blamed him for everything.

Yes he was most definitely throwing off his back foot on passes that did not require him to do so. You are blind apparently.

He was also throwing against our slate of Sunbelt caliber DB’s. Last year, they showed a unique ability to make every QB we played look like an All American, saw more of the same last night.

Not really. They won but Nuss was not outplayed by any means. Can’t believe he said that. Think he’s going to say we were out coached? Don’t think so.
