When are you referring to?

Idk if this is what he was talking about, but when we were up by 4 with 8:38 left in the game, we went 3 and out. The 3 plays were as follows:

1st & 10: John Emery rush for -5 yards
2nd & 15: Nuss with a 14 yard completion to Pimpton
3rd & 1: John Emery rush for -1 yards.

We took 1:41 seconds off the clock and punted the ball back, because of two negative rushing plays.

He may be a clown in some ways but he cant hold a candle to Lesticles when it comes to hard nose running. Les had no heisman qb’s and ran all over teams. Lesters toughest instilled in his teams was never questioned.

I think Hester or CEH should be run game co-ordinater. They are the only ones who can teach imposing will

I saw some of that from CEH tonight against JAX in the Saints game.

Really like that guy, how he plays, hits people when he runs.

I don’t think it’s cause ppl hate him. It kinda goes back to last year when we ran our mouth before the USC game telling them we gonna run at them and we were not hiding it. Say what ya want but I promise that lit a fire under that USC defense that night. I like that he believes this and wants to do it but I’d rather him say it in the privacy of the locker room and not to the media.

Yup.

We forced it at times last year because coaches think we have to be balanced.

If one sucks for most of the year, trying to force it in an effort to be balanced is fricking stupid.

Yeah, he's really done a lot in recent years with the whole impose your will approach to make me believe that....

In Lester's last full season, we got outrushed by at #4 Alabama, 250-54.

We followed that up the next week by letting unranked Arkansas run all over us at home, 299-59.

The following week, we went to #22 Ole Miss and outrushed them 184-152, however, they actually averaged .1 more YPC than LSU.

Les typically just rammed it down the throats of less talented teams, but we absolutely got dominated by teams with equal or more talent, and occasionally by lesser talented teams.

Fair enough, if the stance is we couldn't run it on those two plays.

Otherwise, it wasn't terrible overall, probably just didn't commit to it enough.

I wouldn't be shocked if YPC is pretty similar between Miles' teams and BK's, Miles just ran a lot.

What's the problem? He's right. There's going to be times when the most sensible play is to run the ball. 3rd and 1. 4th and inches. Those are sports we want to run it. The defense knows you want to run it and are going to sell out to stop it. That's where Kelly is saying you gotta step up and be better than them. Your will power to get it done has to be greater than their ability to stop it.

It's a challenge to his team and I imagine he's said much the same in camp.

when crowton failed with JJ in 2009 miles took over the offense in 2010. we went to bo schembechler ball. 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

toss dive city.

we ran 68% of the time in 2010.

I remember being at the ole miss game that year. on the final game winning drive we ran every single play. zero passes. just blew them off the line with toss dives and HB iso, speed option or zone reads with stevan ridley and JJ running.

The vaunted 2011 team averaged 4.9 YPC, last year, LSU averaged 4.1 YPC.

But Miles' teams just exerted their will and ran over everyone.

If you knew anything about football, you’d know how big of a difference that 0.8 YPC is

Last I checked he doesn’t eat grass, make moronic time management decisions, run the same running plays over and over, etc.

It's a difference but not anything crazy.
