quote:

Yeah as I mentioned, you guys know the situation with John Emery. I really can’t get into the specifics of that because of the Buckley Amendment, but he’s certainly a guy that’s going to be part of what we do this year,” Kelly said. “Then Noah Cain as I mentioned, was really impressed with him today. Armoni [Goodwin] is a guy that we’re going to count on. [Josh] Williams has been probably as consistent as any back that we’ve had. And Nick Demas has done a really nice job.”

quote:

“Leonard Fournette is not in that backfield, so we don’t have like that marquee guy if you will,” said Kelly. “But all of them complement each other very well and I think we’ll be very effective at that position and I think each one of them can contribute in a manner that will allow us to be successful at the position.”

We have as much talent in the backfield as any team in the country

Ehh

We’re pretty good back there but a couple other conference teams are absolutely stacked.

Goodwin is going to be the best of the group, calling that now.

Did you not see what Kelly said? The most talented backfields have a guy like Fournette, such as Texas’ Bijan Robinson.

Our backs are serviceable but we don't have a super star.

Yes, when you add them all up. Will be great if one or two of them steps as an elite back.

He’s just letting the fans know to temper expectations. We have some quality guys, but don’t expect elite level play from that position.

Most of us thought CEH was going to be average before the 2019 season, just saying.

Wait and see. Our running game was week as hell the last 2 years because we literally ran inside zone exclusively.

The one game we rant a counter TDP set the school rushing record. And we ran that play like 30 times.

I’m just looking forward to seeing a RB rotation that actually makes sense

Personally as a RB in college myself, I would think that the RB's are sick and tired of this chatter about the RB's and this whole situation and cannot wait to get on the field and prove to everyone that they can carry the load and more. I think we have 3 SOLID backs and they will surprise everyone against FSU. JW even had a good spring game also. We will be throwing more than we run, but I think we are in good shape with these 3 and they are all healthy.. GEAUX TIGERS !

Nobody but LSU fans knew who Clyde was before 2019 season. Just saying.

What chatter? Some people saying that it’s not necessarily one of our team’s strengths? Hopefully they will be motivated no matter what and be trying to better themselves. Shouldn’t really be reliant on proving some fans wrong, especially since those same fans will be thrilled to be wrong.
