Miami at #3? Really?

Somebody has to win the ACC. But it will not be Miami. They are 12-12 overall and 6-10 in the weak arse ACC the last two years. They have won 6 games after September in those two season. Combined. Two of those wins were against Virginia, who has been worse than Vanderbilt in that time.

This is the equivalent of picking Houston to finish #3. Actually, Houston would be a better pick.

How silly it is going to feel having Texas state in that lineup

Many are picking them to win the fun belt this season, not out of the realm of possibility.

Them getting Ohio State would absolutely be a skull fricking though

Bama just lost a shite ton of talent, hired a questionable defensive staff, and we haven’t seen them play an actual down under DeBoer…

But sure, rank them #2

No way in hell Va Tech and Iowa finish ahead of Texas as an at large. Texas is loaded and has the easiest SEC schedule in the conference.

Va Tech has won 10 games combined the last two years. They had a 3 week stretch last year where they lost to Purdue, Rutgers, and Marshall.

They still have the most talented roster in the country though and they did beat UGA last year in the SEC game. The problem with this prediction is they would have to be the second best team in the conference to make the SEC championship game. I don't see that happening.

Everyone just keeps giving Alabama the benefit of the doubt forgetting that they nearly lost 3 games last year WITH Saban as coach.

What teams would you rather give the benefit of the doubt to and why? They were in the playoff last year and their coach’s old team was in the national championship.

Two years ago LSU was in the SEC championship game with a first year head coach and team that went .500 the year before. And y’all think it’s unreasonable for Bama, a team that won the SEC and made the playoff last year to do the same?

I can't stand Texas, but with their schedule, no way they don't get in. Iowa?? Lol. They've gotten away with scheduling cupcakes for years. Not this time around

I really don't see how they have Oregon at #1 their first year in the BIG. Miami at #3 is laughable. Alabama at #2 if laughable too. Don't see that happening either.

it's true that Iowa hasn't scheduled elite OOC games, but the Big 10 has a 9 game schedule, so there's only 3 OOC games.

And every year, one of them is Iowa State, which has been decent or quite good in recent years.

And yes, LSU usually schedules one top OOC opponent, but let's not pretend we don't also load up on cupcakes.

Yeah this guy can't be taken seriously, with some of his projections. Also, LOL at us losing at home to Penn State.

So if we are the 6-seed we play a night game at home then go to the Sugar Bowl to potentially play the ACC Champ? I will take that all day long.

LSU ALWAYS schedules at least 1 big matchup. It isn't our fault that UCLA sucks azz, or we would have to big ooc schedule this year. Besides, South Alabama isn't bad.......next year we open AT Clemson. you want to see cupcakes, go look at the schedules of Ole Miss and Missouri.

Oh I know it’s possible, it’s just going to feel really dumb whenever we shove a G5 team in there next to all these other teams.

Way too early for this. The scenario will probably look much different by the first of November, or so.

Washington was 14-10 the two years before they went to the NC
TCU was 11-11 the two years before they went to the NC
LSU was 7-6 before they had the best team in the CFB history

It does happen.

No, but all of the national pundits to keep talking about how bad LSU's defense was last year (understandable), but applying that to this season while ignoring Alabama's deficiencies from last season is contradictory.

What deficiencies? They had the 16th ranked defense and 23rd ranked offense.
