Long throwing motion
No confidence in reads - held the ball too long
Rattled by the pocket - even when it wasn't collapsing
Threw off his back foot
Poor footwork for throws
Didn't step into his throws
Needed to over twist his body to throw hard
Seemed rattled
Lack of foot speed
I feel completely swindled by people who said he had a strong arm. He underthrew almost every ball over 20 yards. Some were caught (but should have been intercepted). Some weren't.

He has an arm.
He’s just not confident in any throw

Game 2 will be telling. He can do it

He couldn’t see open receivers. I’ve never seen anything like it.

He should seek out a therapist.

Kindergarten kids here tonight. Give it time....

All of this and I don’t see how the fake handoff is supposed to ever work if he never keeps it. That’s never going to fool anyone

He has none of the intangibles. Pocket presence, being able to read a defense, seeing/feeling pressure. Everything Burrow had, he doesn’t. On top of that, he’s not very athletic and doesn’t have a lot of confidence. His body language was awful today.

Throwing off his back foot is the most concerning. Hard to fix nerves

Looked like a freshman, not a 4th year guy, 2nd year in a system....
Most here thought he should have started 2 years ago. Upset about burrow

D’Erriq King would be nice with this Swiss cheese OL

You mean like Burrow had six games into his redshirt junior year and less than 50% completion percentage?

Nervous as shite
This. He was fidgety and uncomfortable, like he had the weight of the world on him. He was not mentally ready to be the man.

BINGO. On the replays from behind the OL you could see guys open on out/crossing routes, but he either did not see them or did not want to drive it downfield into a tight spot. Gotta play with confidence and let that ball fly. With that said as good as Marshall looked today he had two KEY drops. One in the 2d qtr when he was past the LB and DB which would have gone for BIG yards and the one at the end of the game inside the 5 yd line. Entire OFF has much work to do, but they can get better.
