I believed that at first, but I don't now. Kelly begged Brennan to come back. He did, and from what we saw, Brennan looked the best of the QBs during the spring game. Kelly then goes out and brings in Daniels and suddenly Brennan doesn't want to play football anymore. Something's rotten in Denmark.

If Brennan wanted to continue to play he could have hit the portal to a team that needed a QB. Hell he could have gone to any number of P5 schools and won the job. He didn’t which says he was done.

Maybe he got lied to or mislead or maybe just a misunderstanding or perhaps it was just confusion
No way he would not have been more productive than this QB and cluster ruck offense

Someone can clarify but a player used to have 5Ys to play 4 (medical RSs could allow a 6th).

With COVID in '20, eligibility wasn't counted. Brennan played '17-'19 which means he had to play '22 or he's done. For him to transfer after the start of fall camp would've been really late.

RPO means run-pass option. The “option” isn’t between the QB himself running or passing. Typically a RPO is an option for the QB to handoff the ball to a RB or pass the ball to a WR. It shocks me how many people feel confident enough in their football knowledge to post on a message board yet they don’t understand basic RPO offense philosophy. in an RPO offense rarely does the QB run the ball himself. It’s ridiculous

Is that what you and the baws at your tailgate decided?

Clowns like you have no clue what might have been the reason, but losers like you love to shite on people better than you are.

I have a better idea about any potential banning. How about if Chicken bans people that come here and make up stuff?

no player at a major football school believes they're guaranteed anything, regardless of what a coach says.

Brennan knew that QB at LSU is an incredibly competitive position. No chance at all that he thought he was a lock to start. Zero.

Statistically pretty good but if you watch the game, unable to move the ball when it matters…Daniels is actually better on 3rd downs.

In his last 3 games with an offense that lost nearly every single playmaker from the year before, Brennan posted the following lines:

@ Mizzou: 29-48, 430 yds, 4TDs, 0 INTs
@Vandy: 23-37 337yds, 4TDS, 1 INT
vs. State: 27-46, 345yds, 3TDs, 2 INTs

In his last three games against conference opponents, Daniels is:

vs. Tenn: 32-45, 300 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT
@ AU: 8-20, 80yds, 0 TD, 0 INT
vs. State: 22-37, 210 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT

I think that you are using the wrong term. RPO means that the QB reads a DB/LB while riding the ball with the RB. Based on the read, he either hands the ball to the back (R of RPO), or he throws to where the read defender vacated (P of RPO).

Likely you are referring to zone read, where the QB reads the backside end (or LB sometimes) and either hands off or keeps based on the read. I swear I think that we are supposed to be reading the backside on virtually every handoff. And we have had the backside DE crash our RB OFTEN this season for a TFL. I think that JD just reads slow. I'm not trying to pile on to him. But the way they block most running plays look like we are supposed to be reading the backside DE.

Finally someone who knows what they’re talking about, people on here thinking you need a player like lamar Jackson to run RPO’s blows my mind.
