During the first quarter I was able to have a conversation without raising my voice. I could have taken a phone call.
Also, the concession lines were absurd and moved at a snail’s pace. Traffic leaving the stadium was truly bad. We were on a bus to the RV park and didn’t arrive til after 2:30.
They did have a drone show that was fantastic, but it didn’t make up for the things they lack. I don’t think I’ll ever want to go back

I know that OLine got all types of awards but Burrow made them look a whole lot better than they were by getting rid of the football quickly They had decent games but also gave up a ton of pressures also.
Truth.
They found “the fish”

I don’t have a snap total, but it’s high. He played virtually every play.
17 Total Tackles
Zero INT
Zero Pass Breakups
Zero QB hurries
Zero forced fumbles
1 fumble recovery
1.5 TFL

Not with Guliiory out. That’s why this can only work for obvious passing downs.
What advantage did Guillory give us?
Have you seen his stats for this season? For his career?
I’m sad for the kid. It sucks he got hurt. But he was NOT a good player, now or ever. He couldn’t one-gap, much less play a 2-gap (sometimes) NG position.

In 22, every offense schemed and slid to Ojulari. They worried about him first and this allowed Perkins to cause problems. We haven’t had Ojulari since then, so they set up for Perkins now.
re: Losing Guillory for the season is another reason we can’t have Perkins at MLB

The one player we couldn’t lose
I’ve read this multiple times and I do not understand it. He has been here for years and has NEVER been good. He’s not a high energy player. He gives up on plays, and he cannot get to the passer. Did you see his stat line from last week? He has the same stats as me and you.
I fell bad for him getting injured, but I don’t think this is a great loss (or any loss) for us. We will be unaffected by him not being there.
He wasn't planning to have to fire his entire defensive staff, lose a safety to brain cancer, whiff on all db's they brought in last year, lose both DT's, have Perkins fail at ILB, fail at DE and have no solutions, and then monumentally miss in the portal for defensive linemen.
I feel that we have a chance to be very good on offense. Special teams should be good, if not better. But the defense is behind the 8 ball. It's going to take a fantastic coaching job in order to pull off 10 wins with this personnel.
Aside from Perkins (and probably Weeks) tell me where the defensive production comes from. Penn, Guillory, Burns and Ryan have proven to be significant liabilities. We've all seen them fail time and time again. They are not SEC caliber players.
I have no faith in any cornerback that I saw last year. Maybe there's someone waiting in the wings, but what I saw in the spring did not look good.
I like Savion Jones and Paris Shand, but they seemed to slow to play the position last season. Ole Miss made a mockery of them. They've said over and over that they don't have the defensive linemen that they need.
I don't mean to be negative. Usually, I spend this time of year tallying all of the wins we are going to ring up. But I'm trying not to build things up too high. I think we are going to lose 3 that we shouldn't, and probably pull an upset. I'm terrified of week 1 vs USC in Vegas. We have been terrible in openers for the last 4 seasons. I hope that changes, but I'm not expecting it.

Sage Ryan, Major Burns, Greg Penn, Jacobian Guillory, & Ashton Stamps have not been able to compete in the SEC up until now. I do not expect them to be any better this season.
If they are on the field every down, we will be bad on defense once again. If they have someone better, and have the guts to actually replace people, then we have a chance to improve.

Anyone in Omaha?

I’m in Omaha for the duration of the CWS. Any other LSU fans here? Is there a particular watering hole where everyone is gathering?

Watch more football
Meaning what? I hardly think that I could possibly watch more. And, having coached for over 20 years, I'm positive that I've watched enough to know what I'm looking at.
He had a spat job over the top of his socks and cleats that was all purple. I could not see his socks
Davhon Keys from Aledo looked very good.
duncanville's colors are blue and red. He was wearing purple spat tape job on both ankles and purple gloves that said LSU
Our linebacker recruit out of Humble Summer Creek, Xavier Atkins, got crushed. If LSU is planning on him playing inside LB in the sec, we are all going to be severely disappointed.
