So, why does he make this decision now, the week prior to Bama game?
I know Ed is reliably unreliable about such things, but Brennan was supposed to be back and available during the bye week.
Is he still not recovered?
Is he healthy again but not being given an opportunity to start?
Is he being told he will play, but would rather not with this OL?
Does anybody have any information on this?
I, too, wish him the best of luck.

Hate to see it but this season is his own fault, wish him luck.

Wish him the best. He stuck around when maybe he didn't have much reason to after LSU went and got Burrow. But headed into next year the attraction of what Brennan offered is greatly diminished. He was the program veteran that's been around but headed into next year Max will be a junior and actually has more real game experience than Brennan.

He was playing meaningful snaps against Bama 4 YEARS AGO and still has a year of eligibility left. That's wild to me

It feels like Miles has been at LSU for 8 years

Has he lost the starting job next year already?

Can you blame him? The fricking wheels are falling off in front of his eyes and he will get no protection from the OL if he even has a chance to get in another game for LSU.

If it were me, which it obviously isn’t, I think I would’ve at least waited out the coaching search to see who LSU gets.

One right hire he would make a world of difference for him.

Oh well, I wish him every success moving forward, unless he ever lines up against LSU.

Yes. He has minimal starting experience and is going to have a hard time beating out the trio of Johnson, Nuss, and possibly Walker Howard.

Can’t blame him. He’s had some significant injuries and our oline is trash... and doesn’t seem to be much better next year based on recruitment. He’s gotta protect himself and our line can’t offer that

Such an odd career that kid had. He's been here forever but the sample size we have of his actual playing is so small.

He should go to Tulane, Southern Miss, ULL, or McNeese.

He's not built for big boy football. He's too fragile.

Or was told this week he had no chance to play, which may be the first time he has heard that, so he made a decision with the new information.

OFFS, why stick around this long only to quit now?
Does he expect Walker Howard to come in and start immediately? Surely there’s a learning curve.

Can’t fault the kid. He hung in there through some big BS. Timing stinks, he could’ve been great here. Hope he has a fantastic 5th year somewhere far, far away lol.

Kind of random but he could go to FSU and probably start Day1. Still a major university so he'd still get seen and I think Norvell is taking them out of the cellar.. Slowly

A G5 that passes the ball a shite-ton, but doesn't require a running QB would be where I would look.

So let me get this straight- you think a drop back quarterback should be looking for a passing team that doesn’t require a quarterback to run?

Hot take bro. I’ll pass along this insight to Myles.
