The darkhorse spot is LF. IF he isn't used in a big trade, Bregs will be allowed to compete for the 3B job next year with Colin Moran. If he doesn't get it, Bregs can end up in LF (two Astros OF starters are free agents after the season).

He's a great player but I don't know where the Astros put him because they have Correa and Altuve at SS and 2B. In the end I think he will probably be used in a trade for something.

If Bregman is ready to go up to the Show in a year or two It's quite foreseeable that CC could transition to third. He's going to be a pretty big dude by the time he's 25. With the big boy from Kentucky on schedule to be the Astros' firt-bagger of the future, that could turn out to be one of the most potent offensive infields of all time. Fun to hope so for a guy who once watched the Colt-45's lose 100 games a year.

It's not crazy to think Correa could move to 3B, but does Correa want to move to 3B. I know all of us loved Bregman when he was at LSU, but it would be a pretty tough pill to swallow for an all star MLB player to change positions for someone from the minors.

Lots of dumb responses in this thread. I love how these guys that love baseball have no clue how the MLB treats prospects as commodities. This isn't the NFL

Yep. 443 feet. From my view it may have left the park altogether.

this is correct, he has been trying to put on weight for sometime now and even takes ground balls at 3B during BP, I know because I throw BP for the Stros and when I'm not I'm the one that hits fungo to him and everyone else... great kid.

We're talking about a top 5 pick. No they are not generally used as trade bait, even in baseball

In baseball you draft for value. That's it.

His profile pic on twitter is currently with a friend's son (disabled - genetic issues). It was taken recently at spring training in Florida.

The above along with him being from LSU and in the Astros organization have me pulling for Bregman to make it to the bigs sometime soon.

I think he gets called up at some point this year. He might not stay but I think he sniffs the bigs for a bit this year.

nooooo, i wish though, its not glorious or anything, just alot of wear and tear on your arm, but there are a bunch of guys that do it.. Mainly former college catchers. we all trade out days and get a little money from it.. guys dont travel though, usually bull-pen catcher will throw, maybe coaches or the destination team provides guys like us... thrown to alot of guys man, its been fun..

Yeah, there's no way Correa will be moved to 3B. He's nearly the best SS right now at age 20. Bregman does not have the range, nor ever will, to play SS ahead of Correa.

I hope not. That would mean the Astros aren't doing well. Bregs is set to be either traded or come up next year in late June.

Correa is not an elite defensive SS...

I'm sure he works hard to get stronger but I highly doubt he's trying to get bigger with the intention of moving to third. Virtually every report out there is he does everything he can to maintain his quickness and explosion in order to play short. He will be signing a 9 figure contract in the not too distant future and remaining a viable SS is a key to maximizing what he will get.
