Funnier, and more accurate, if it's #2 instead of #1.

This guy looks like he’s never played a sport in his life. Don’t let it get to you.

Barely beating Arkansas too.
I really think lsu loses that game with a healthy and 100% KJ Jefferson.

That wasn't the choke of all chokes but it was definitely worse than USC losing to Tulane. 15 point comebacks happen on a weekly basis.

almost got beat by Arkansas.
I love these “almost” comments as if it means something. In football there are many close games but Winning close games matters. LSU was not a huge favorite in the Arkansas game to begin with.
The problem with comparing USC’s and LSU’s results is the disparity in competition.
Playing in the PAC12 vs the SEC is obviously much different.
Have Lincoln Riley trade playing Oregon, Stanford, Cal, Wazzu, Rice, Arizona, Arizona State, and Fresno State for an SEC Schedule and see what his record is.
Put Alabama, UGA, LSU, Tennessee, etc. on his schedule and see what happens.

Some of those grades are nonsensical. A coach who took over an intact 10-3 team whose coach stepped down because of an illness then went 10-4 in a G5 conference and got an A.

Jeff Tedford, Fresno State: A
2022 record: 10-4 | Fresno State's 2021 record: 10-3
Previous job: Fresno State head coach (2019, resigned because of health reasons)

That was Jefferson who was counting his 4 TD's in the first half of the OU game

i'm sure CBK is going to read this and do an extra Extra EXTRA self evaluation so that next year he can get a better grade from some EPSN simp.

I suppose losing to Utah twice, playing Rice and a Pac12 schedule and losing to Tulane is “A” material? Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!! ESPN is a farce.

Not a terrible grade considering LSU really didn't do THAT great. Anyone with a pulse soundly beat the Tigers this year. Their only meaningful win was Alabama at home. Struggled with Auburn, Miss. St., Florida, and Arkansas...only one of which finished in the Top 25. And of course the A&M loss. Don't forget that the SECw was ridiculously weak this year as well.

Joey McGuire gets an A- for taking Texas Tech from 7-6 to 8-5 in year 1
Kelly gets a B+ for taking LSU from 6-7 to 10-4, West title, beat Bama, bowl game blowout win, in year 1
Checks out
In all seriousness a B+ isnt completely unfair because a lot of people see that A&M loss as a black eye to the season. I dont think anyone is hurting us bad for losing to TN, UGA in SECCG or even game 1 against a really good FSU team in a fluky way with total special teams meltdown.
But that drubbing by a 5-7 A&M team (should have been 4-8 if we handled business) does put a small damper on things. 100% it's an A- maybe even A if we simply beat A&M.

Utah was a well ranked team and Tulane ranked higher than us...

B+ was the grade that I had in mind too. I do not see a problem with that grade. That is a very good grade for the first season. If we would have taken care of business against the Aggies and won more convincingly against Arkansas at the end of the year then I'd say A-
