A good portion of the fans on this site wanted Aranda gone in 2019. Especially after the 2019 Ole Miss game where John Rhyse Plumlee gutted us on the ground. Looks like Coach O was taking advice from tRant. Lol

Even worse a majority of the fans on this site was excited for Pelini and thought he'd be amazing.

We could've had Barry Odom...

I actually agree with you but your argument is still flawed.

Look at Kirby he's landed so many 5* QBs with such shitty OC. I still don't think Monken is elite by any means either.

You make a good point about Kirby, but it also proves my point as well. Kirby still continues to lose most big games because he cant find a great OC. LSU, under Aranda, would have the same trajectory. Again, people thinking Aranda would easily find great OCs year in and year out are foolish. After about three seasons the Rant would want his head.

Noted that Coach O told Aranda to leave and find a job, because Ed O was changing defenses. Also noted that Aranda never showed interests in being a head coach until that happened and the Baylor opening occurred.

I don’t think O wanted him gone, but he definitely didn’t urge him to stay. It’s common knowledge O is very hard to work for which doesn’t mesh with Aranda’s personality. The real problem is, O can’t make a quality hire to save his life. Once Brady and Aranda left, the ship started sinking fast.

If he actually told Aranda to pack his bags, is stupider that I thought. Ladies and gentlemen I give you Ed the Clueless Orgeron.

Just wow!

If this is true, O is a bigger idiot than I thought and deserves everything that happened to him.

If we hired Aranda and he goes 59-14 with 4 straight NY bowls including 2 playoffs and a NC appearance and you don't want that you are insane. (That's Kirby's resume)

Yea the offense isn't perfect but they are consistent as frick and are in a great spot this season to make some noise.

It’s hard to imagine some of the stuff coming out. But where there’s smoke there has to be fire. Half the shite that comes out on this board is exactly that though. Also, It would be unfathomable if they paid all of that money to get rid of Orgeron and then hand a ton of money and your job security over to one of those 3 guys. Woodward just isn’t that crazy. That scumbag piece of shite ran off Aranda to create the worst defense in LSU history, just incredible.

It's so ironic O was so emphatic in running the 2019 offense because of its success but wanted to run off Aranda in order to run a 4-3 defense.

Give me a break. The Rant has been talking shite about Kirby not being able to win the big one since he got to Georgia. The LSU fan base would never be satisfied if Aranda always came up short which is exactly what he would do because winning at the highest level comes down to offense and QB play.

Really incredible isn't it. Every single thing he has done since 2019 has been an epic disaster. Really don't think anyone could do this bad following a title if they tried to

Not sure if it’s priming the fanbase by Woody or what, but the second tier names aren’t the plan. Out of all the (true) things they mention, one aspect the talking heads don’t know about is the coaching search. It’s a tightly held secret and no one who doesn’t need to know knows anything.

Bull. shite.

So you believe O told Aranda he was changing to a 4-3 D and Aranda could stay?

Bull shite

Ed was openly saying he didnt like the D. Also, Ed famously said the Pelini D was better in preseason than at any point in 2019. That comment was all you need to know

Aranda had long been figured out. He couldn't stop Texas, Vanderbilt, or a freshman qb at Ole Miss and you people still think we had some all world defense his last couple years.

Funny you say that, because Arkansas, Texas A&M, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Clemson couldn’t figure out shite against Aranda.
