Cole tracy did miss a fg that would have won the game also

And it's sad, we were able to stop them on first to third down every play. Then on 4th down, they had a wide open man every time...

Get a first down with less a little over 2 minutes left in regulation and we win. Three very bad plays.

I was shocked how poorly DBU performed in the last minute minutes and throughout the OT periods.

The defensive breakdown on 4th and 18 in the final seconds deserves some criticism. Also when Aggie scored to send the game into OT, the defender was behind the receiver. You can't do that on what was essentially a Hail Mary pass.

As far as how the defense performed in OT, they held A&M to field goals in 2 of the first 4 OT periods. The defense was decimated by injuries and obviously exhausted. IMO, they played well enough in OT for us to win. Don't forget that we had 1st and goal at the 6 yard line in the 4th OT and proceeded to run up the middle 3 times in a row. Not a single pass was called on the possession. That was gutless play calling by Ensminger.

I couldn't agree more. If the offense could have gotten ONE first down at the end of regulation, we would have won. A&M had used all their timeouts, it was third down, and all we needed was one first down. ONE.

None of the issues with the ref's would have mattered. The mindset of, play ultra conservative on offense, and rely on defense to win, has to stop. The offense should have been aggressive and gotten the first down, and run out the clock. That is my issue with Ensminger and Orgeron.

The offense could have converted a first down when there was 2 or so minutes to go, but couldn’t. The offense has been average at best all year, so yeah SE needs to step down.

72 points not enough for you people?

In regulation, sure. In 7 overtimes, no.

Me either. But they needed to make 1 GD stop in OT and that would have been it.

I get it that the defense played 2 games (~110 snaps). Just 1 stop. Just 1.

They did make key stops in OT. When our offense only mustered up a 50yd FG in the 1st OT, the D held A&M to a FG. Also, when the D held A&M to a FG in the 4th OT, all our offense had to do was score a TD.....Ballgame!

I'll say this, SE called a good game in OT.

Except when we had 1st and goal and a TD could win it and we ran three straight running plays and kicked a FG.

From 49 yards out because the offense stalled.

I can spin this the other way and say the offense scored touchdowns on 2 of the four possessions and one with a two point conversion. There is plenty of blame to go around on all fronts to where we don’t have to play this offense’s vs defense’s fault that the rant likes to play.

You think the offense didn't play well enough to win that game?

The offense scored 24 points. That’s not very good against A&M

That one is mostly on:

Giles (as a PR)

The defense (from Aranda on down)

The refs

More or less - in that order.

This is exactly right, although I'll add that there was not much the defense could have done considering the injuries they were dealing with.

Like the game would have played out exactly how it did if he had made it. How about the money kicks he made? 45+ yard kicks are far from certainty, he did a great job on every other try including one with a shitty angle.

Really? I would venture to guess that O doesn't give a rat's arse about what you think.

He would be a fool not to. Of course orgeron cares what the fans think. It was exactly this that got Miles fired.

I agree completely and Tennessee is now moving in on Freeze. O doesn’t see the obvious deficiencies or doesn’t want to acknowledge them . That’s a problem. The pumpers cannot spin that

Thenoffense scored 24 in regulation

The defense scored 7.

I think There is room to improve on offense and not just this game all fricking season.

That one is mostly on:

Giles (as a PR) - no its 40% on him (mr fair catch everything even with an open field in front of him) but ed is the one who insisted he remain as PR despite showing all year long an inability to do that job and secure the ball when doing it.

The defense (from Aranda on down) - they got completely out matched and out coached and were not ready to play from the start. second half was a little better but them after the giles PR fumble, they went zero pressure 3 man rush prevent defense the whole way and throughout OT

The refs - the cheating there was clearly documented and undeniable
