anybody else think the three students next to the podium will do something to disrupt the meeting by the end of it.

Rousse is underqualified for the position.
Absolutely. I’m going to support him just like i supported Tate but his resume is lacking.
Maybe if the students would show up in slacks and a sport coat and talk about his lack of research, (I will admit what I caught of the last one did speak to that) lack of interest in building a major research institution etc makes him under qualified to lead a system of 2 health sciences centers, a law school, a major undergrad and graduate university as well as numerous small colleges around the state then they might make an impact.
Getting up there in sloppy clothes complaining about feeling “unsafe” because the national guard might come to help with security causes everyone to roll their eyes

Dalton is really impressive. Truly hope we are serious about splitting the president and chancellor jobs back up so he has a place here.

Why were students upset about Rousse?

Jeez, these students are such losers.

Dalton seemed giddy, he’s knows what’s about to happen

That bar at the Renaissance pours heavy after 8pm

I've just seen from these "Students" their parents have definitely failed them. Woke Trash
So many of these kids have been brainwashed and can’t have a conversation about the issues without parroting what they’ve been told from msm. It’s very sad.
I absolutely support LSU getting rid of the woke leaders and putting someone in with Christian and conservative values.

He's Landry's choice so that makes him a fascist
They should have gone with the underqualified part instead

Im assuming we will find out when they get to the "Structure" part

The first two speakers were the only two that made a coherent point.
The last one was vey combative but had some good points as well. Honestly, we do need to make sure we are focusing on meaningful research and making progress in fields that we excel in, energy, agricultural, engineering, etc.
I don’t necessarily believe we need to remove corporate based research, but certainly need it to be balanced with public grants and nonprofit grants.
But I think the students need to better understand the much bigger issues and focus on those. LSU needs to better a regional engine for growth in academics, job creation, and advancements in quality of life. Right now, 75% of our talent leaves the state either after high school or college. That is a big brain drain on the state and it must be corrected. I think the university president can help change that course with a competent strategy, they obviously cannot do it alone though.
