Does anyone know if there will be a press conference today?

Excellent! In the best news that we could have possibly hoped for. Would Wade roost being president and now Dalton being Chancellor? That's the way it was when I was at LSU back from 79 to 83. We the chancellor was the main dog that looked over Athletics that was Chancellor Wharton at that time and had no problem firing Paul diesel to bring in Bob broadhead because he said diesel would not fire a coach that had only won three ball games which was Jerry stovall. Although Jerry saval is a great gentleman and a great tiger but had his trouble at coaching

Rousse said that the Chancellor / VP is over LSU BR (and associated grad schools) "scholarship", not athletics. That means Dalton is limited to academics, admissions, research, etc. Which is enough.

Tate was a wolf in sheep’s clothing destroying this university with DEI
no he fricking wasnt. Look Tate has personal DEI views but never once did he push those views on the university and you cant point to a single time.
did he go far enough to remove DEI like I and others wanted...nope but he didnt implement any new DEI policies.
get your arse back to your trailer in Livingston parish!!

will be opposite this time which works great because Dalton is the academic. he will handle academic and research side
rousse will handle athletics, external affairs and fund raising and a few other things.

I am not unhappy with this outcome
why?
Dalton is best on the Research and Academic side
Rousse is best on the business, fund raising and athletic side and most importantly he in the lightening rod on the political side that shields Dalton when tough decisions are needed.
wtf is there not to like about this? its the best possible outcome, pretty much everyone gets what they want.
Re-read my post

Look at our enrollment numbers and what his push was for selective minorities. No test scores required. Graduation rate decreased.
I can’t imagine how stupid you people are and allowed to vote

So Rousse is over the LSU System.
And Dalton is over LSU, Pennington, and LSU Health Center.
Thrown in is that for reporting purposes they are combining LSU, LSUHSC, and Pennington as a unified system under Dalton as VP and Chancellor.
This should provide an immediate boost in LSU's national rankings as these were previously separate entities.
Forgot to mention that Dalton is also over the 15 LSU Ag research stations located around the state.

wait you want to call us stupid yet you are the dumbass. We already talked about it a ton in this thread
holistic admissions was started under F King in 2018. the push for pell grants goes back to Lombardi in 2011. But under F King you saw minority numbers jump and saw them go to test score optional approach
The thing is you saw a black man and assumed he put those changes in place....he didnt. now did he change them when he should have....no but none of us are even sure if he had the backign of the board at the time to do so and I can tell you the gov at the time liked those policies.
I dont like the shite either. we have all talked and bashed it and went over 100 times. but because you lack research ability you come on here calling others dumbasses when you are the one that is wrong.
LINK
here is the article with F King where he quotes the success of holistic admissions he started in 2018
we are all in agreement it has to go away. we just have the ability to research when it started.

great day!!

Lots of words to tell me I’m right. Tate was never going to do away with it. He was actually pouring gasoline on the fire that Fking already started.
Frick dumbarse. We have real leadership in charge now

So you were wrong? You literally blamed Tate for holistic admissions.
And I been the biggest cheerleader for rousse on this board and the one bitching the most about the admissions
But again, it wasn’t Tate. He didn’t do that shite, it was kings drunk arse. Sure he didn’t stop it but he had zero power to do so considering the governor would have bounced his arse if he did because JBE is a dumbass
We are on the same side of this, but you jumped to conclusions
Can you point to one thing Tate implemented that supports your argument? I linked an article that f king says this was all him. Prove Tate did what you said please

Tate made it ten times worse. Look at lsu in the last 5 years.
You keep posting word vomit to defend a libtard who shipped up to New Jersey after he was canned. Thankfully

Again….show one statistics back your points up please

I have no dog in this fight, but your reading comprehension, ability to reason, and communicate effectively is extremely below average.
The dude has not defended anyone. He simply has reported the facts that you are wrong about and introduced supporting evidence.
All you have done is make baseless claims and sling empty critiques.
Really dumb mountain you’re trying to defend.

I didn’t agree with Tate on a few ideas but he was far and away the most impressive leadership we had since O’Keefe.

Tate didn’t do a bad job. He was black so everyone assumed he was going to turn the campus into Zimbabwe but it didn’t happen.
He as he a DEI hire? Possibly. Don’t know other candidates.
This thread is about the future tho.
