Yes, actually. BK has gone on record saying he didn't think Jayden could beat out Nuss much less Brennan. Say what you want about what Jayden became, but at that point he was coming off a 10 int to 10 td season at ASU. And again Brennan had started 2 seasons in a row before that. Again if he hadn't washed out after the injuries he would have started. The blind faith in every transfer over guys recruited and developed here is thankfully not shared by the coaches. As far as Burrow at that point Brennan was a RS freshman. Not in any way a presumptive starter. People are complaining about a RS freshman Collins being the backup much less starting.

That’s disingenuous. You can say Brennan was the presumptive starter for 2021, but he didn’t play a single game that year.

He “won” the starting job in 2020 and got injured after 3 games. He never played another down.

Brennan wasn’t recruited by Kelly, he was an Ed guy.

Yeah. Very good runner. Strange throwing mechanics. Who knows, though. Lamar Jackson has odd mechanics and it worked out for him.

You seem upset. I don't know why you would say that. There are many, probably the majority of college QBs I would not support over Nuss, unless and except the LSU coaching staff wanted to give the job to them. While I do coach football, I don't do it at the level of Kelly, Denbrock, and Sloan; therefore, I tend to defer to them.

Why so angry. It's not my fault Nuss has never started. I will say that the majority of his pass attempts this year came against Grambling and Army.

Definitely looks like Matt Jones. he never really looked fast but always outran everyone. Those long strides. I'm sure they've let Nuss know they have to bring in an experienced QB to back him up and will also be pushed by whomever they bring in. Will be good all around.

Idk Les,

57% passing with 11 TDs and 9 picks in that shite conference. I’m not sold

He’s a take just for competition and having an experience backup alone for me though

Isn't it the staff's job to get the best players available?
If we can upgrade at QB or Nuss , why would we not do so?
B/c Nuss' feelings might get hurt?
B/c the (then) second best QB on the roster might transfer?
Is Nuss "owed" the starting job?

Exactly what I thought from the very first play. Looks like he's not fast, but because of the long stride, he runs by people.

I hated when we played against Jones. So damn frustrating.

It's not disingenuous at all. Brennan was the starter before being injured. It's irrelevant to my point. The number of morons acting like Myles finally got his first shot to start but was replaced. That would be the comp for Nuss not fifth year senior taking his third shot with a new staff.

Idk why I would say the thing you confirmed in your own comment. Silly me.

I'm not angry. My apologies if I offended you snowflake. I just tend to have no respect for people like you. What does it matter where his snaps came from this year? Other than proving BK a blatant liar.

Probably because despite the sentiment from some obviously biased imbeciles on here this isn't a known factor. It's a judgement call. Ever think Nuss is the best quarterback? Of course not. It's your feelings that the staff should ignore. You aren't "owed" a quarterback you prefer.

I'm curious. Are you actively getting offended by someone saying how Nuss would react? You know he's not actually him right? He wouldn't transfer to McNeese either. It would be to an opponent to beat LSUs arse.

You have some weird imaginary relationship with nuss. Talk to your psychologist about that.

Bk said he thought jd wouldn't beat out nuss? I never saw that quote. Can you please link it??

Speak to yours about your relationship with Jayden. Or better yet stop wasting time making stupid pointless comments.

lol man you ain’t kidding. We’d hit that guy at the line, bring him down, and he’d still gain 5 yards somehow

I like him. He doesn't beat out Nuss, but he would add experienced depth. He has the tools that if you throw some Sloan/Denbrock seasoning on him & he develops, he could be an interesting bridge to Hurley/Underwood after Nuss.

I will note that I don't think he shakes up SEC defenders like he did those in the highlights from the Mountain west! But his stride did give me PTSD-like flashbacks to Matt Jones! Hated playing that dude.
