I’m sure we work him out. I finally trust both our OC/QBC again since 2018.

They may not admit it, but plenty of them transfer with virtually no chance to start outside of injuries.

QB Jaylen Henderson transferred to Texas A&M last season from Fresno State, as a sophomore and the same class as Conner Weigman.

He knew he was going to be 3rd behind Weigman and Max Johnson. But he got some NIL money, because they needed depth.

And sure enough, both got hurt and he played.

But he was a backup at Fresno State. He transferred for NIL money to be a depth piece.

Green certainly has potential with that cannon and nifty running but Boise State also went 8-5 vs far lower competition.

He would also have better athletes on his side of the ball at LSU

Tough to tell from a highlight tape but it looks like he has huge upside and would fit well in our system

I mean we are talking about a guy that threw 8 passes in 2yrs vs a guy that accounted for 44 TDs in 2 years. LSU isn’t trolling for Jaylen Henderson

Boise already had fired their head coach earlier in the season. They ended the year on a very solid run with an interim head coach.

Backup caliber

Just needs some polish. Still young and could be a great system fit

Boise fans are calling for the coach who just went 3-0 as interim’s head?

The fired coach mismanaged him is what I’ve read

Similar athlete to Desmond Ridder would fit Denbrock’s offense perfectly

It's crossed my mind that Nuss might wind up being Myles 2.0

By which you mean he will be the starter 2 years in a row?

Agreed! I like his potential upside and think he'd learn a lot from Sloan and Denbrock and up his QB skill set at LSU.

No, that isn't what I mean.

What I mean is that it is possible, like Brennan, he may have waited his turn but had the ground shift beneath him, and transferring qbs who can run (and lets's not forget signees Colin and - cmon man - possibly Bryce) plus the coaches seem to be meeting with half the running qbs available in the portal... idk I'm just saying Nuss needs to watch his six, stay in peak shape and have his head on straight bc he can lose that job bc he is immobile.

after watching his highlights, his playing style looks like a mild/soft mix of Cam Newton and Jayden daniels mixed together.

Damn. Dude must be unstoppable.

57% for 1,700 yards, 11 TD, 9 INT

He’d be a great starter in the Les Miles offenses.

He isn't immobile. What most leave out when making the Brennan comparison is that Brennan waited his turn and got his turn twice. He was simply injured both years. In fact in all likelihood if he hadn't washed out he would have started over JD. Nuss isn't Brennan, but if he was he would be guaranteed to start next year based on that comparison as Brennan did. BK is looking at QBs in the portal, but everyone that's actually been contacted is clearly not intended to beat him out. There are options out there that would indicate that's what they want, but they haven't made any move towards pursuing them.

Yeah, No.

Brennan had two different HCs starting down the barrel of the gun of him being the starting QB and decide “shite. We need to bring in a starter ASAP!”

Immediately upon being named the permanent HC at the of 2016 O tried to sign a different QB even though Brennan had already been long committed. O did replace him as the (presumptive) starter in the spring of 2018 with a guy who, to that point, had never played a meaningful snap in college.

Kelly talked him into staying at LSU upon getting the job in 2021 because LSU’s starting quarterback (Johnson) was transferring and the other options were a freshman (Nuss) who had sat out the final games considering a transfer and a true freshman (Howard). Kelly needed someone with a bit of experience. But as soon as a better option presented itself (Daniels) Kelly pounced.

Brennan is probably a great kid. But he would have NEVER been in the stratosphere of Burrow and Daniels. He, fortunately, played in so few games at LSU that he didn’t have enough time to fall from “Legend” status in the eyes of many LSU fans. A fate that eventually struck guys like Lee, Jefferson, Jennings, Harris, Etling, Johnson, after brief moments of early success at the beginning of the careers. Let’s face it. He just wasn’t that good. Thankfully, as fans, the coaches recognized that and were able to bring in two guys who would become two of the best players in school history.
