For what? Is there something magical that always happens with the third crop of NIL contractors?

You are yet another poster who has demonstrated a fundamental lack of understanding of how the new world of NIL and the portal works. There are no 2 to 3 year rebuilds. Every off season is nearly a total overhaul for just about every team, and so everyone has the same problems. We spent 40 million on putting together a playoff roster. That roster will be gutted in the off season, and we'll be doing it all over again. The concept of "building" is essentially gone.

You have to have elite coaching who can do the most with whatever they have. That's it. That's how it goes now. I didn't place the expectation of going undefeated on Kiffin. I had the expectation of meeting the low bar of making a watered down 12 team playoff.

Brian Kelly did. Were you happy with those results?

Kiffin is one of the highest paid in the country. If he gave his entire salary if would not be equal to 1/2 to Mississippi State’s NIL.

Fans either need to put up money or lower expectations. LSU has put up the money, so they are not lowering expectations.

I didn't expect to be out coached by schools with much less talented rosters and less experienced coaches.

They have a better Oline, WRs, LBs, about even at DB. We have the better DL, RB, and debatably QB. I really think you guys are overestimating how good our team is. We’re just not that good.

The problem is the amount of money spent to not have a better OL and WR. At some point you have to start winning games against good teams if you want to stay in the upper NIL $'s.

Got to also say the 2 point conversion defense was as BAD as any DC could have had. You NEVER leave the middle of the goal line unprotected with a mobile QB--unbelievable. Dude could have skipped into the endzone.

To be considered any good, you have to beat good SEC teams on the road, which we haven’t done since October 2023, when Blake Baker’s Mizzou defense gave up 22 points in the 4th quarter in a loss to LSU.

Why did you stay so silent after the Clemson game?

Why did it take a loss to Kentucky to force you to post here?

It’s a simple question. I’m interested in psychology

Im not interested in psychology on a message board. Im interested in seeing my home state win games. Especially given the amount of $ invested in the team. The results are staggering.

Why can’t you answer my question?

For the 3rd time:

Why did it take a loss to Kentucky to get you to start posting about the team??

So here’s the thing. That’s a week to week, flavor of the day type perspective. Right now- they both just had a nice win. I notice you left Florida off that list. They were on everybody’s list a couple of weeks ago. Miss St and Taylor were talk of the town recently.
LSU was gutted- culturally, numerically- just about every way you could be. NIL and portal can only go so far in year one to rebuild a teams roster with no depth. And culture isn’t overnight. If you felt LK was the man then stay the course. Believe it or not- there’s progress in a lot of areas. It’ll only stabilize and get healthier moving forward.

Also, you think kentucky wins that game in tiger stadium? I dont

No, but I think it’s ok to say that you would like your coach to be able to win road games against teams that you feel don’t have as good of a coaching staff or roster as you.

It’s Kentucky brother. Only Will Wade gets a pass for losing to Kentucky.

Here is an honest question: If a large number of teams are paying good money for their players the same way as LSU, why is there a special expectation that our money will guarantee a great team over the others spending similar money? Is it always the coach?

Depends on what you consider “good money” and what the gap is. If it’s a $5 million gap, I would tend to agree with you. If it’s a $20 million gap, I think it’s a different story. But yes, the coaching staff also plays a major role in it.

Ole Miss the best QB in the country who is also not even eligible to play. His actual test begins next year on replacing said players.

KY got destroyed against Bama at home and beat LSU by the skin of their teeth also at home. They also had to scrape by South Carolina. May want to wait until the season ends to see who has it more together.

What if my expectations are when we waste a timeout to run a play we send out the players involved in said play and dont get a delay of game. Is that attainable

Or at least still feeling like it was attainable in late October
