No on can answer the question of who they would have preferred over LK or the hat the reasonable expectations should be for LSU moving forward. It’s a new CFB and even the highest NIL school with great coaches will lose games to lesser talent. Expecting him to be the new Saban, 6 games in is honestly a level of retarded that surprises me for even this board.

Anyone who didn’t have the expectation to make the playoff this year does not understand where the game is now. Gone are the days of building depth. Ohio state which is one of the most established programs has 51 new players this year. LSU went all in and it’s extremely concerning to see the team continue to look unprepared and sloppy.

Do you not remember Ohio State lost to a terrible Texas team lol. It’s you who doesn’t understand college football. Good teams are gonna lose to inferior teams. It’s happened all year and especially on the road. UK’s roster isn’t even that much less than ours and the difference is made up quickly when you account for injuries.
There are so many factors that go into a coaching changes outside of just roster. Kiffin’s staff is known for development and evaluation, even in this era and that takes time.

Let me ask you this? Was your expectations to be schooled by W. Stein and Sloan.

You probably would have said this about Cignetti two years ago. Who knows where Stein’s career takes him.

Exactly. Losing 2 games while we are favorites. It will be even worse in November as the teams we play are much better than Kentucky

You seem like one of the small brained fans who watches LsU and that’s it. Colin Simmons will embarrass LSU offensive line

Calling me small brained and then responding with something that’s has nothing to do with my post is honestly hilarious. You are clearly the dumb one here. Collin Simmons isn’t suiting up at QB and figuring out how to take over Sark’s spot at the same time. Just because you have good players does not mean you have a good team. But it would take actually paying attention to CfB for a retard like you to know that.

6-6 and looked awful doing it. The worst offense in school history. (We're high in the country in offense this year by the way).

The two comparable years in the last 25 years are 2020 (Covid) and 2021 (O fired).

Last year was, objectively, a massive dumpster fire.

Blake Baker is the reason for our 2 losses, his D in those 2 games was way to conseritive. He coaches scared in road games.

My thoughts exactly. Had LSU listened to this board's advice in 2017 or 2018 we wouldn't have had one the all time best college football teams in history.

It’s an unattainable expectation to beat ole Miss and Kentucky? Good lord we’ve got some losers on this site.

It's that same pathetic bunch of MA's. They have low standards and will never change.

Our offense didn't play well enough in the first half to win the Ole Miss game. To ask the defense to hold them to no points or a low score period was asking a lot. We were starting entirely too slow on offense even in our wins. I knew it would come back to bite us in the arse if you face a good offensive team and the defense had a slow start. Yes, we had a better 2nd half, but we'd already dug ourselves a hole. Defense did enough late to win that game.

The Kentucky game you can make the argument about the defense there, but I'm not going to put all the blame on Blake there. We were not gap sound either. Guys didn't know where to line up. That's on the players. I can give you the plan but you gotta execute it. That's where you miss Whit. But if you miss one player and your linebacker corp turns to shite then you have bigger problems. Keys is what he is. He's been there for 3 years now and still doesn't know what to do. That's exactly why they kept going to him. That's on Blake to adjust. What i don't understand is why we have seem to play a different defense on the road than at home. We aren't the aggressive looking team. It's like they just don't trust certain guys. At this point you're out there. Put the best guys you can and live or die with the result.

Give me the roster and schedule to this point and I would be 4-2 as well, now hoping future results are exceeding expectations

You remind me of Brian Kelly telling us that we are spoiled. I’m not flipping out but the type of many of the mistakes the coaches and players are making are inexcusable.
