As someone with season tickets in an "old fan" section, 414, I can assure you that nobody around us dislikes the song.
It's one of those things where most of us look on smiling, like parents watching their kids(students) and players have fun with it. All you can hear in the stadium, other than in the student section, is the edited version, "I'm I'm From Louisiana!".
I can also tell you that I've brought friends to Tiger Stadium from many states(and fans of opposing teams) and they absolutely LOVE it.
Friends from 25-55 yrs old from Indiana, Texas, California, Colorado, Florida to name a few in last 5 years. They all loved it.
