What if Matt Mauck returned for his senior year in 2004?

Not the biggest, but what if Poche gets a PO against TCU and continues to cruise.

Cecil getting run off hurt us, but we still had Faulk and Mealey and ran the football pretty well. By far, Ryan Perrilloux getting kicked off the team for good changed our whole offensive philosophy. With Flynn and Perrilloux teams had to play the run and the pass. When Perrilloux got ran off we had a walk on from harvard , Andrew Hatch start the opener the next season. Dude threw a football like it was a hand grenade. Finally Les went to Jarret Lee but he wasnt ready yet. With Perrilloux we were a national contender, without him just a top 25 team

LSU vs Rice 1935
LSU scored a TD on the play in question, but had a penalty and the td was called back...
LSU would lose to Rice 7-10
Had the TD held LSU would have gone to the Rose Bowl.

What if Miles puts in Jarrett Lee in the 2nd half of the 2011-12 BCSCG.

Rein was a home run hire at the time. Can only think it would have been a great run after a year or two of recruiting. To this day, the picture of the Lear, at altitude, with frost/ice covered windows is chilling. RIP Bo.

What if Jarrett Lee played the National Championship instead of Jordan Jefferson?

What if Saban would have stayed at LSU for 10+ years.

Worst part is the kick WAS good.
It’s so much easier to talk about now, after this season.
Still think we should claim 2011 but who cares when 2019 LSU would handle any LSU or Bama team from 2007-2018.

What if Bregman doesn’t make an error against UCLA in 2013?

1959: Cannon converts the 2 point conversion and we beat Tennessee. National champs in 1959.
Repeat champs 1958 and 1959.
He and others claimed he made it.

Oklahoma State vs. Iowa State, 2011.
quote:
The Cowboys raced to a 24–7 lead early into the third quarter. Iowa State scored 17 unanswered points to tie the game, but quarterback Jared Barnett was intercepted with 2 minutes to go, and the Cowboys were immediately in field goal range. After the Cyclones forced a 4th-and-1 at the 20-yard line, Oklahoma State opted to try a field goal with just over a minute remaining, but the 37-yard field goal attempt by Oklahoma State kicker Quinn Sharp went wide right, forcing overtime. There, Iowa State scored a touchdown on the first play, while Oklahoma State successfully responded with a touchdown on their own. On the first play of the second overtime, a pass by Heisman candidate Brandon Weeden was tipped and intercepted, giving Iowa State a golden opportunity to pull off the upset, which they did after a series of plays that culminated in running back Jeff Woody running into the endzone. Jubilant Iowa State fans then stormed the field.

We all know what actually happened.
There is the biggest what if of all.
And I still proclaim that FG by Okie State was good. It was a left hash kick that went directly over the right upright. You tell me.
And that LSU team having spanked Okie State by 31 points would have been proclaimed the greatest team of all time and certainly the greatest defense of all time.

What if Brad Wilson, instead of hitting a double two batters ahead of Warren Morris in 1996, had grounded out to first?

An old one, if Mike Miley doesn’t go to MLB Charlie MAC likely makes it way past 1979, 1974-76 killed him..

Does Dietzel winning 2 NC’s at LSU change his decision after the 1961 season?

Probably not.
Being HC at the Point was a lot more prestigious in 1962 than it is today, and it was Dietzel’s career-long dream. Plus, as it was, he already felt he had accomplished as much as he could here.

What if Jarrett Lee got to play in the 2011 NCG? We'll never know.

What if Josh Booty comes to LSU straight out of high school to play both football and baseball instead of signing that record contract with the Marlins. LSU might have won 5 straight CWS and 6 out of 7 between 91-97. Gerry Dinardo goes down as one of the greatest coaches of all time if Booty is unable to save Curly's job as a true freshman. Assuming Dinardo is still hired in 95, LSU, led by back to back Heisman winner, Josh freaking Booty, just might go back to back as NCs as well. Instead, Booty went the MLB rout, led the Marlins to a WS championship in 97', before riding off into the sunset and coming back to LSU to purposely tank in order to get Saban hired and be named 1st team all SEC in his final year for the Tigers.
