Born and raised in Louisiana. Diehard Tiger fan from the time I was old enough to even know what sports were. Never attended LSU but am a season ticket holder and donate to university along with TAF. Just because it wasn’t in my cards to go to LSU when I was 18 doesn’t mean I throw away a lifelong fanhood.

A&M has a bunch of fans that actually went to Blinn instead. Stanford was too good for a while and too tough to get into for them to be anywhere close to #1

I doubt thats true. Now its probably true of the amount of fans with an LSU degree.

I partied hard in BR for 3 years and then went home and earned a degree elsewhere.

They are my flagship school in my state. I was much too poor at the time to attend (pay for housing).

And who gives a fckk.

I attended and graduated from LSU. I’m proud of that but honestly who gives a frick who’s a fan. You don’t have to be a graduate to be a fan.

Graduated from LSU and Georgia State… only alumni give a shite about GSU and that’s a stretch. LSU is a brand, could care less. Anyone that supports the tigers is welcomed by me. That’s what makes TS and all special

Prob less than Bama.

I didn't but my son did, my ex did, and all of my nieces did. So I have a reason.

Does going to Fred's count as attending LSU?

I have two degrees from LSU back in the early 1970s, but started going to LSU fball games in 1960 (age 9) and LSUMBB games in 1965.

I am GLAD LSU has so much support past its own alumni. This is a good thing. LSU is the state university of our great state.

And make no mistake here: Louisiana is a great state. Makes me proud that Kim Mulkey, the best HC in any sport at LSU, says this often in public. Those "fans" who run down our state are simply wrong (my opinion) BUT are also hurting LSU Sports (fact).

Turn that around: what college draws their base outside from other than alumni….LSU. 96%

Auburn fans wear auburn shirts because they went to auburn.

Bama fans wear bama gear because they went to Walmart.

I don't see how y'all can dispute this.

Example: I am from a small, rural, depressed area where maybe one in ten high school graduates attend college. Maybe 20% at best.

Of the 20,000 or so folks who live in my parish/county, 99% are LSU fans. I figure that's the same around the state.

So, you young punks who know every damn thing, stay off my lawn or meet my arse at the Tastee Freeze. We're so poor here we don't have a Sonic.

We're so small we don't have a town drunk so on weekends we take turns.

We're so small they took down our only traffic light during the great war to use the metal for ammo and bombs.

Majority of LSU may not be alum but they support because of the love of the flagship university of the state of La, that why I’m a fan, same reason I support Saints, La man supports La team. LSU brand is bigger than local alum support

For me, I didn't attend LSU, but was raised as a Tiger fan (whole family went to LSU)

I was born in Baton Rouge the year before my Dad graduated from LSU (in 1950). Since I was born, I have not attended classes at LSU, but I was in my Dad's loins before he graduated, and so--in a way--I did attend LSU--and have been a fan since I can remember.

No way; so out of 100,000 fans in Tiger Stadium, only 4,000 attended LSU. Almost everyone I know who goes to the LSU games attended LSU.
