We complain about the WalMart Wolverines and Gumps but there’s a bit of jealousy in there.

Didn’t attend LSU because I got a free ride to a smaller college. Went to every LSU basketball and baseball camp as a kid. Grandparents had season tickets for 40 years. Am I just supposed to drop my fandom because I went to school somewhere else?

after not granting me in state tuition using my mothers address (born in Lafayette, went to grade school in Dallas), I purposely went to a group of 5 school that is trash in sports so I could continue being a flamboyant LSU fan without anyone giving a shite

My Old Man graduated from Tulane in 1962. He's probably missed 10 games since 1970, when he left active duty in the USMC. He and my PawPaw stood underneath the South endzone scoreboard for years.

First, I graduated from LSU.

Second, why does not attending a school you root for matter?

I am 57 and have 2 degrees from LSU. Two of my three children have degrees from LSU (the other went to Bama).

My 81 year old father did not go to college, but he instilled in me a love of LSU from the day I was born. It was part of our family identity.

That said, I wish being an alumni got you some priority points, but whatever. I’m all about the high definition television these days.

I went to a local alumni association mixer for a couple of hours and left without meeting a single alumni....4% might be high

The saying goes, "If you are wearing UL gear, you probably went there. If you are wearing LSU gear, you probably went to Walmart."

I didn’t attend I’m an old man now but when I was younger education wasn’t a top priority plus I was a screw up ( nobody’s fault but mine) I look back and regret not going. My son is an LSU engineering grad and very successful. I hang my hat on that. One the happiest days was seeing him walk and get his degree

So? I’ve live in Louisiana my whole life, of course I’m an LSU fan even though I didn’t go to school there.

Was an lsu baseball fan since jr high, basketball fan since hs freshman and lsu football fan since a junior in hs (1993)

I couldn’t afford to attend LSU so I commuted to La Tech and graduated.

I’m a LSU and La Tech fan
