Bianco rumors just leverage?

Anyone think that both LSU and Bianco could just be using the rumors about him as leverage? Bianco to get an extension/pay increase at OM and LSU to distract from the real target? (This could have already been stated already just a thought I had)

The fans may not but him meeting with the AD today shows that they at least have some interest in keeping him

It would have to just be an extension, because there’s no way they’re going to give him a raise after missing the CWS again.

He just got a raise an extension last year. I don't see him getting another raise after failing to make the trip to Omaha, like he has 20 out of 21 seasons there.

Bianco got a 4 year extension in May of 2020. The maximum his contract could be extended is 1 year per MS Law. He has no leverage to get an extension or pay increase.

If Bianco is LSU’s new coach - why hasn’t LSU hired him? Should’ve been a smooth and fast process?

You can't believe what you hear. Right now any agent who has a coach as a client should be throwing their name out there to get more money. That is a good agent. All I hear is that they hired the first person they talk to , then if they if they come for an interview and not named the coach,they think lsu got turned down. First kos at Florida, then you hear vitello at tenn, then Corbin at vandy. Then bianco at ole miss , let's go on and call in van horn at ark, and lemonis at msu , and make all the other sec schools give coaches pay raises and then go after the guy you want in the end, like mcdonnell,oconner,Godwin.why not make all the other schools spend money.

At least Dellucci talked with some sense. Saying Bianco is UM’s priority and McDonnell/Godwin won’t be easy pulls from their respective schools.

I understand them talking up their buddy, but why is LSU like this? You saw it years back when Johnny Jones was hired and more recently when O and Ensminger were promoted.
Why do other schools go out and get guys like the dude A&M just got but we LSU fans always have this subliminal concern that the old bloods are gonna use their crusty, cobwebbed influence to promote their buddies?
They don’t give a frick about LSU, they just want to relive the glory days and get their buddy a pay raise.
