I know two guys that died and one other permanently injured from similar accidents. Those damn things are dangerous.

He spends a lot of time in Baltimore during MLB season calling Orioles games. He won't have a lot of time to get ready when he is done. He was home this week for the Allstar break.

He’s also 6’7” tall. I am the same height & have lower back issues. My doctor reminded me that I have the same number of vertebrae as someone that is 5’ tall. Mine are just more spread out which puts more torque on them.

The good news is that he appears to be in good physical condition, so maybe he’ll come out ok.

The older I get I start being thankful for being shorter than I would have liked to have been when I was younger. There’s almost no health benefits in being tall.

Is 25’ normal for a deer stand? I don’t deer hunt but most of the stands I see around look to be maybe 10 - 15’ or so.

In the video it's said that he was moving the stand to a different trae and the current tree was dead. Sounds like it was a strap on stand and the strap may have broken. Details weren't clear, in part because he has been concussed.
