Which is stupid. He was the 4th option at returning kicks and probably had less than a week of practice before doing it in a game.

Irrelevant. Those were opportunities to shine. He failed and we LSU moved on. Now he has thankfully done the same.

Unless you subscribe to the theory that JD returning completely caught the entire team and coaching staff unaware, I'm guessing they all knew JD was coming back. And they all decided to stay and Bech was the one who decided to leave. That probably means something whether you want to admit it or not
Or hear me out JD and BK are doing their best sales pitch by saying next year will be different and JD will finally start throwing the ball down the field consistently and accurately.

Nice NIL deals and a little bit of bullshitting goes a long way in keeping people around. Time will tell but I trust Bech made the right decision and JD will be no different next year.

To be honest if he starts the season on the heisman watch list and has a good game against FSU I suspect WRs and RBs will touch the ball even less as he will be worried about keeping his stats up.

No player will accept being a role player in this day with the transfer portal. Especially a highly rated player coming out of high school. I fully expect Bech to get plenty playing time and reps at TCU. Especially since they will actually start a QB who throws the ball to his receivers.

Was curious if you were right or just making stuff up based on your feelings. LSU's top 5 WRs had 187 receptions this year. TCU's top 5 WRs had 162.

Plus, Dugan is headed to the draft and the likely starter Morris (will be a 4th year sophomore) had a 5.6 ypa average this year.

This shows you how your career can be deterred not only by competition, but by QB and offensive play.

He would have received more touches in the passing game if we threw more and showed BK his talent. This happens.

He will have fun at TCU.

2. Daniels biggest issue is hesitating to make throws. Which throws off his timing. Which means even on the short passes there is little opportunity for catch and run.
This is very true. He lucked out that Boutte got a step on the CB after the short route he caught and ran against Georgia. That was all Boutte.

By the time JD decides to throw to a receiver it’s too late. He makes the throw the receiver has no opportunity to run after catch or JD tucks and runs.

This is why he is high on completions and completion percentage but middle of the pack in yards and at the bottom in TDs, YPA, and INTs. He doesn’t take any chances and it’s why he will never be an above average QB.

Yep, he's not going to get more reps at LSU.

Good choice on his part, probably should have gone elsewhere to begin with. Had a really good frosh year with Max throwing.

Is there a reason it’s broken down into top 5 WRs.

Duggan had 30 TDs and 3300 yards on 239 completions. What that tells me is he wasn’t dinking and dunking and his receivers actually were thrown passes that gave them the opportunity to make plays.

Daniels had 16 TDs and 2700 yards on 254 completions.

If you don’t know some completions are more valuable than others. A 10 yard pass that’s late and gives a receiver no opportunity to make a play is not equal to a 30 yard pass on a rope that’s caught and ran in for a TD.

Bech is a far better runner after the catch than Mason Taylor and better hands. Mason runs very timid. Size wise, Taylor may be the better fit for TE but the other non-blocking skills, Bech was a far better player than Taylor when used as such, in my opinion.

So it just wasn’t given to him? From what I witnessed, he was put in every position to shine.

He's legit. Bech will have a great year at TCU under Sonny. Duggan ranked 12th in YPC. Daniels 95th.

TE's and Nabers will have big years at LSU.

It’s funny because the more and more I break down JDs season for his fan boys the more I realize just how inefficient a QB he is.

Which is why he'll blow up at TCU.

That’s the things though, I feel like it’s fixable. He’s making the right throws he just needs to trust that and make them when he knows they’re there.

I don’t buy into the “he’s played 4 years he’ll never learn” I think if a players works at the mental aspect he can improve.

Thankfully? Wow. Why the crassness for a young man that played quite well for the team for two years. Do you have that same callousness for any other player that screwed up once the first time he played in a position he's never played before? I also recall the young man returning a punt for a TD against MSU, I think, that was called back on a penalty. I don't recall a single other KR, PR doing that all year.
