I agree with him that some coaches are overpaid.
I think we need to be paying O about $400k per year based on his market value. So he's right in a sense. LSU is overpaying some of its coaches, but not due to the reason he gives. Throw Nikki Fargas in there too.

But I disagree with his politics. Capitalism is a beautiful thing.

yeah I'd have no issue just generally stating our priorities are a bit out of whack and pay for coaches is getting obscene...but wanting them capped because you feel people are too dumb to separate private and public money, including professors? The only issue with coaches being paid too much is that the players aren't getting paid anything.

So unless Edwards is going to lead a fight against the corruption in the NCAA, I'd prefer he stick to worrying about how the state is spending our tax dollars rather than how private citizens are spending their disposable income.
