Look, people can reasonably disagree about how LSU handled the Will Wade situation, but this is moronic. John Wooden won 10 national championships in 12 years. Will Wade, in 8 years as a head coach, has made one sweet sixteen (sort of--he wasn't actually coaching that team in the tournament). Will Wade, as much as I enjoyed his tenure at LSU, is not in the same universe as John Wooden.

Really good recruiter that couldn’t do it without getting caught but not a very good in game coach in my opinion. Over time he could be cause he came to us and had great offenses but bad defenses and then we had a good defense but bad offense…over time he will figure out how to balance the focus on both and could be great but as of now he is just a decent coach that brings the energy and can recruit and we will see from there

I believe the poster was joking and being hyperbolic.

Just as a side note for Wooden, he had a booster paying the best players. shite has been the same forever.

I don't mean to trash Wooden at all, but it's common knowledge. The issue I have is the naive pseudo-fans that believe what other programs have done is acceptable and revered - and what Wade (allegedly) did to make LSU competitively consistent is unacceptable. "Bad Cheating" narrative drives me nuts.

Will Wade is still 5 years younger than Coach Mc. I care about LSU basketball and narrative from some is Wade is a terrible coach and Mc is a great coach. Show me that in real numbers and success.

When WW is McMahon's current age, Wade will be coaching at the top of a P5 league. McMahon will be back in mid to low job by that time.

Will Wade will be at the top of a P5 conference in 5 years? I'd bet significant money that's not going to happen.

I'm not that poster, but define the terms.

I'll offer this for a dollar (betting terms) 1:1 that a Wade coached team makes the NCAAT earlier than Coach Mc coached team.

I have a lot of baws that know me here if you need references for my validity.

Name your odds...

As soon as the NCAA announces its decision in the summer/fall of this year, Wade will quickly become the hottest name in coaching for any vacancies after the 2024 season.

Like most of the others, he either will make some irrational statement about streetball, wife's checking account or why did he end up a McNeese, or he will disappear.

That’s his MO. We know what it is. I expect him to disappear on this call out.

We’ll see.

You want to relive his greatest tournament accomplishment - beating ULL in the NIT.

Not a genuine take at all. And also not an LSU Basketball fan. Huge troll.

2-16 SEC makes her/him happier.

No, a-hole. I want to relive the epic postgame press conference where the General put little brother in his proper place and endeared himself to the LSU fanbase.

TFFL?

Odd obsession, probably not going to catch on either amongst Tiger fans in general.

I don’t give them free rental space in my head.

Save that for fellow SEC teams.

If only he wouldn’t have been such a dumbfrick while at LSU. What could have been.
