How late can they start a game Saturday being that it’s game 3

I found this on the SEC's website.

quote:

The SEC has also revised the inclement weather policy related to the final game of a conference series on Sunday when the visiting team does not have classes on the following day (Monday). The policy specifies if the visiting team's institution does not have classes the following day (Monday), general curfew policies shall be waived. If the curfew is waived, no game may start after 10 p.m. local time or resume after midnight local time.

My guess is that as long as MSU doesn't have a flight to catch Saturday evening they will go with not starting a game after 10pm or resuming a game after midnight.

I think Jay is very aware of who miss st is pitching tonight, and wouldnt mind a little rain delay, if it just happened to fall that way

Plus the fact that the game last night didn't get over until 1030

this doesn't sound like JJ.

Jay loves night games when it isn't cold. he only intentionally schedules day games when 1) it's February or early March; and 2) it's the NCAAT and he wants more flexibility with the weather to make sure the game is played on the day is supposed to be played and not risk having to play double headers.

Jay said last night they wouldn’t move it up. They would only move it back later into the night. He said they want a night game no matter what.

Well, then there won't be a game tonight. Maybe he's trying to make Miss. St. throw their ace for 1 or 2 innings in the rain tonight and then the game is stopped and their ace is done for the weekend.

However, Miss. St. will probably throw a different pitcher and keep their ace for Sat. Night.

There is no way they complete the game today if it starts at the scheduled time.

Jay probably wants to start this game and have rain delay it with MSU throwing their ace

Local weather report this morning said showers will begin around 7pm.

Odd to see Jay just allowing the game to be affected. It’s like back in the CPM days.

He's not afraid, but he's going against our 2 starter, who usually gives up 4 to 5 runs in 5 or 6 innings.

These threads always crack me up a little. Last year we had people absolutely melting over a game getting moved up on a workday when the weather turned out to be OK. Now we have people concerned about the decision not to move the game up for a 40% chance of rain.

The local radar shows it breaking up and going north until very late tonight.

90% chance of rain Saturday. They should have played one starting at Noon or 1PM, and hoping they got a dry start for game 2, instead of 1AM baseball.
