Am I the only one that's okay with this? It gives Floyd and Hurd closer to normal rest due to postponed game. Also who says we need 3?

Gives Skenes an extra day of rest. I'm all for that. LSU in 2. All in our favor. Skin the Cats Tigers !

It's June in South Louisiana. There is a chance of scattered T-Storms somewhere in BR on pretty much every day.

Last Saturday wasn't supposed to be too bad...until it was. Monday was supposed to be a washout...until it wasn't.

The only thing we can hope for, especially with Skenes starting, is that the rain doesn't pop up mid-game. Before (thus forcing a later start is fine). So is after. In the middle would likely serve to mitigate LSU's greatest advantage.

So Floyd can pitch on Sunday, yeah? This is good for us.

He would have pitched on Saturday if we got the Friday - Sunday slots.

I swear half our fanbase only started watching lsu baseball until a few weeks ago. We had numerous times this season where we had Fri-Sun series followed up by Thurs-Sat series and everyone pitched in order.

I am guessing that means Florida's side of the bracket will play the opening Friday in Omaha, while LSU's side of the bracket will play the opening Saturday. Just a guess, though.

I believe the college world series starts on saturday now, with friday evening for their concert.

Yep. Mid 90's heat alone is not ideal for a big man trying to go at least 6-7 innings.

A rain delay for Skenes is ABSOLUTELY the worst possible outcome though.

Yes they do. This is from last year.

Johnson is going to have to consult with Jay Grimes on Saturday all the way up to the time he turns the line up card in. And not Tuesday in October Jay Grimes. Black jeans wearing, sleeves rolled up with a tie, hurricane tracking Jay Grimes. He ABSOULTELY does not want to see a scenario where LSU only gets 2-3 innings out of Skenes in the biggest series of the year.

That pinpoint dopler radar is going to have to live up to its name!

I actually like that Skenes gets an extra days rest and Floyd gets to be on a normal week schedule. And hopefully we take care of business so we don't even need to have that Monday game.

For supers that start on Saturday, does this give any indication to how the schedule would translate in Omaha? Does Saturday Super mean Saturday first game in Omaha?

True, so he'll be on a full week's rest for his start against Tennessee/USM in Omaha, BUT that means we probably can't bring him back in Omaha until the CWS Finals.

I am getting ahead of myself, but...assuming Wake Forest wins game one, I would consider starting Skenes in game two. If the goal is the national title, I think LSU has to start 2-0 in Omaha with the lack of pitching depth. Depending on the schedule I would at least consider it.

I swear to God our fans are the most miserable sacks of shite I've ever seen

All we do is complain about game times as if we are the only school in the universe.

Football or baseball, it doesn't matter. If we don't play the exact time or the exact day that the fans want, we bitch like a bunch of 4 year olds.

fricking hell man
