I tend to agree that they’ll only get better from here. My question is, will Cade Beloso find his way back into the lineup? Seems like such a shame that he didn’t get a single at bat the past two series. He’s healthy, and by all accounts has been tearing the cover off the ball in warm ups and BP. What gives?

Gonna be hard to replace McManus if he keeps going 4-7 with a triple and a homer on the weekend.

I guess you’re right. Just hate to have his bat in the dugout for the rest of the year after he showed so much promise and has apparently come back fully healthy. Maybe could use him situationally as a pinch hitter then trot out a pinch runner if he doesn’t go yak.

As long as Thompson is at short we won't make it past the regionals. He is a liability on defense and will cost them down the road

Man, that routine DP ball that was exactly what the tall Randy-Johnson-esque size pitcher threw after he was struggling and got bobbled...I was just like "UGH"!!! Sorry, I don't know all the players names as it was my first time going to LSU. But at least they got the dub and the sweep after the weekend prior.

I thought about this yesterday. But in all honesty our current catchers are more likely to give up a run due to pass balls or dropping strikes than they are to score a run with a bat in their hands. We are a better team with an elite catcher who is not a stud at the plate than a slightly above average bat that is suspect behind the plate.

I think we are all waiting on Milazzo and Dugas to get healthy and play at the end of the year and into the post season. We are definitely better with those two.

You guys refuse to talk about the Pink Elephant in the room and that’s defense. As long as this team continues to make errors on a constant basis, this team will not get better. Routine play/throw is the Achilles Heel of this team and that unfortunately will keep this team from making a run.

Absolutely! LSU is just lucky Mizzou isn't a top team. That play would have cost LSU versus a better team.

It's literally the only thing people are talking about. How on earth can you reconcile saying that people refuse to talk about it?

The first 10 post in this trend was about offense. It took the 11th post for someone to mention the defense. Hitting is going to come and go (depending on who's starting), but the defense should never have bad stretches like we have seen this season. We thought the way the team played in Gainesville the last two games of that series would jump start the defense, but that turned out to be a mirage. After 39 games, this is who this team is and it's not going to change.

Where have you seen that he is healthy? Doesn't he have a torn ACL that he elected not to have surgery?

As expected— but got that definitive answer that Javen Coleman is out for season, according to Johnson #LSU
