Exactly, we kept hacking fly balls and what not, which i believe we were trying to play straight gorilla ball instead of attempting to strategically lay the ball into the outfield, it was said the outfielders moved back a bit, and what do you know, every hit was either a fly out or ground out
Just look at chinea 0-4 i mean come on for a 0.360 hitter that is god awful

Person and Bugg are both guys that can usually get out of a jam as well. Maybe Person doesn't have the stuff to pitch three games in a row.
I thought for sure that Mainieri was going to go with Bugg in the top of the 9th. Maybe he was saving Bugg for tomorrow?

I look at how people take loosing. According to most losing a game like this is not important but I bet it would have been important had they won. Winning is always important and if you accept loosing like this them I am surely not the nega-Tiger, you are. I never accept loosing and when I do I always analyze exactly why and what I can do to make sure it does not happen again. Should one not critic himself or his team when they loose? Oh wait, it is better to blame someone else. Never your fault correct? Glad none of you were ever in my employ. You would not have been there long. Frankly most would not have been qualified to be there to begin with.

It's not all on the bullpen. BUT when you are up 1-0 in the 9th, the pen has to come thru.

We have done this all year.
why would it change? Its gotten us the #1 seed.

Facts that can be applied to approximately 7 or 8 games out of a whole season. Very small percentage. You're straining at the proverbial gnat.

Bull pen didn't lose the game - Fraley getting picked off lost the game. One critical mistake in a close game such as this one is all it takes. That mistake cost LSU the one chance for a big inning.

i don't understand how people can blame pitching for todays loss. All they did was allow 2 runs in 9 innings. this loss is all on the lack of offense.

That is exactly what I said and the point I was trying to make. If you listen to PM before the game that is what he said they would do. I got hammered for saying it. I am glad someone else understands the game of baseball. Congrats DVinBR

So they don't count? Lets just count what geauxjo says we should count. As I said, grow up, life is not selective to just what you want to count. It's not the big things that make a difference between winning and loosing, it's the details, the small things, the things that you think don't count. At least I know the world has one less winner.
