LSU's bullpen is good when they have a 5 run lead. Not so much in a 1-2 run game.
yep. Bullpen is crap in late games with a small lead. Seen this too many times.

Damn this game was boring and DAMN the hitting was shite

Reminds me of the crappy CWS games we've seen in the new ballpark in Omaha. Of course...had we been playing there, Florida's HR would've been a routine fly out.

Most of this fan base is absurd at times. LSU scored 1 run. Very few baseball games end 1-0. Of course it is all on the bullpen and the coach per the rant. This loss means as much as the Nichols ST loss in the big scheme of things.

The most important part of the season starts with the next game.

The Hoover Met is the exact same dimensions as Omaha.

Nobody is giving enough credit to UF's relief pitching, the last guy especially just had our number, bottom line.

Our pitching gave up 8 free passes, UF gave up 0.

Not anymore I thought. They moved in the fences. Gaps are must smaller.

Well we haven't lost many games this year so I guess you have to take full advantage of a rare poor outing to spew. You're pretty good at it too.

Spew. Not spewing, just stating facts. That is what happened. Do you still cry when they loose or do you blame climate change? Grow up.

I think except for the HR pitch Stalling pitched much better than he had been.

One pet peeve I have about him that he did not do today is his pre-pitch ritual when he first comes in. I think a reliever should come in ready and throw a first pitch strike. He used to come up there, throw his warm up pitches, step to the back of the mound and pray and primp his hair and uniform and stuff. That simply provokes the batter standing their waiting IMHO. He came in and pitched today.

I think Stallings needs another pitch and more control of his fastball, He will get that as he gets older. I hope he gets a nice slider and learns to keep that fast ball low and on the corners.

He is going to be a great closer before he leaves LSU.

Also--it is not often we have 9 hits and only one run.

Dimensions are only part of the issue. The park in Omaha faces the wrong direction and is essentially in a hole. It DOES NOT play the same at Hoover even with the same dimensions.

Not my opinion...but fact. The Omaha World Herald had a great story about it several years ago.

Yeah they moved the fences in. But it cleared the original fence anyways.

We were swinging away so there was little chance to gain a walk. Little patience with the first pitch.

TD Ameritrade has a prevailing wind that blows in.

Two years ago, we saw Christian Ibarra crush two balls against UCLA that would've easily cleared the wall at Hoover.

Florida better learn to hit before tomorrow if they are going to beat Vandy.

It was a game of good pitching by both teams at different times.

UF's relievers were great and Lange pitch a pretty good game.

I don't want anyone on the mound in the late innings in a tie game that allows every hitter to sit dead red on a single pitch every time.....even if it is 95 mph....especially with no movement on it.

Someone will hit it hard.

It was dumb to pull a pitcher on 100 pitches in a meaningless game? Da frick?

I understand this, just saying the dimensions are the same now.
