Thank you for all the work you put in Adam. I am so pumped for this year, should be a great year. I hope we crush Tennessee to shut them up and wake up the sleeping giant that is LSU baseball.

First off, thanks Adam for this every year. This is always a fun thread with baseball discussion leading up to the season. Much appreciated.

No one going to mention Adams grade on Milazzos arm and fielding?

Think we were all waiting on you to mention the grading. My opinion differ on those grades. I think his power numbers should lower than his hitting number and the arm number should be slightly higher than the fielding number.

His defense is good, but it's not 75 on an 80 scale good. I'd go 65-70 on defense and arm, and 30-35 on his bat. Hopefully he improves there, but his bat has been really, really bad.

60 defense
65 arm
40 speed
30 hit
20 power

it is literally why i said it. any reps not going to morgan need to go to the person who is going to replace him.
if beleso is content to just hang out in the dugout fine, since he doesnt count, but the younger guys need the reps so that by game 58 in super regional/omaha they have the experience and at bats.

yep i miss calculated. point being, he can wave the towel in the dugout and provide lockeroom leadership but the younger guys need the reps. morgan is gone after this year, so his replacement needs experience

With this lineup if Milazzo could just hit around .250 everything would be lovely.

It's that time of year. Baseball is PURE. The other sports , while more enjoyable in many respects, are corrupt and arbitrary. Baseball is PURE.

With the MLB banning the shift has there been any talk of this in college baseball?

Travinski is going to play more than people realize. He’s one of our better bench RH bats and he’s finally 100% where he can help behind the plate too. He’s not that much of a drop off from Neal.

He has waffle irons for hands though. He will definitely get at bats. He will be in the DH conversation and be a regular PH.

You don't even know who will be at 1B next year, You have the transfer portal, freshman who could take the spot, and highly doubt it but morgan could come back. although by your logic he shouldn't be welcomed back. You do whatever makes this years team the best and worry about next year when next year gets here

I know he only played 12games last year but he was showing improvement at the plate. If he can continue that he'll get the bulk of the starts

But those 12 games were against weak pitching. He got 5 hits on the season. Those hits came against:

Maine (1)
Townson (2)
Southern (2)
