It seems like the more obvious it is, the less likely they are to overturn it. They don’t want to insult the on field ump.

People may have believed it. Umps and coaches may have argued over it. It’s not and never has been a rule.

There has never been a tie goes to runner. That’s sandlot rules. Base umpire has to make call on how he sees it
