That's fair.
I'll say one last thing though. It seemed that Stallings had established himself and I don't think anyone prior to Kentucky thought differently that he was our closer. Period. He was asked to go 4 innings for the first time in 2 years. Dumb move IMO. He hasn't looked the same. He got the job done Tuesday, but he's not in the 93-94 range anymore. I hope that 4 innings doesn't haunt us.

I'm not that upset with the move. More either constant insistamce that your setup guy has to start the 8th no matter what, closer has to start the 9th, etc.
I am fine with that typically, but if the starter has gone 8th cruising to the only run he allowed was super early solo homer.. I prefer to keep starter in to at least face that first left handed bat. (I think it was a lefty?) that got the triple off of Stallings.
Any ways, I do like the move to go ahead and pull Stallings after they tied it up with only 1 out.. because they are the home team.. so regardless we'd have to come back out to pitch a whole other inning and who knows how deep this will go. So props to CPM on the immediate move to Person. Now we have Stallings for the next two games if needed.

Thats why i said i think he lost his job tonight. He will still get sec opportunities, but exclusive closer is gone
It may have been lost before tonight. Person was ready after those two quick at bats to start the ninth, seems like the plan may have been for him to face the lefty no matter what.
Not that it means Person is necessarily the closer, but that he may go by situation/matchups more than anything.
