Vegas also had us at over/under 9 wins last year so I collected heavily on the over thank you very much Caesars

He hung out at our tailgate before the Auburn guy. Really nice guy. Was impressed with LSU at the time. Knew a lot about Auburn, but he didn’t know much about LSU before kickoff or why they had such a potent offense. I think the guy knows what’s in the media guide, but not much else about the game of football.

LSU fans were saying the same shite.

His LSU loathing Hot Take crap is at least a decade old. I had to stop listening to that guy years ago. He’s like that guy who hears a snippet of a bs story at the pool and thinks it’s gospel and starts telling it to everybody.

Always, I've always wondered why he has an axe to grind specifically with LSU. He rarely uses sound logic when it comes to LSU, his hatred always shines through.

Eh. He thought LSU's stone aged offense would not work to get them into the CFB playoff contenders. I guess Ed agreed.

Who the hell thought Burrow was a difference maker last summer? Nobody, he was an above average QB that lit up UCF.

Hell, we all thought that. I fought with rtgr(Sonnyboy!) as far back as 2006 on that matter.
We all knew there was mostly a glass ceiling vs Bama since 2008 onward, until Les Schembechler would ever adapt.
And most knew in our hearts that even should LSU have beaten Bama during the L streak years, we didn't have a run-the-table type program at hand anyway most non-2011 seasons..thus may still not have went to Atl?
Sallee had LSU losing to Aub in the vast majority of his 2009-2019 picks, plus usually a 3rd if not 4th L..at times overestimating ATM as the swing.
Your simple assertion does not disprove others posts in this thread. They can both be true simultaneously. And Ed O well knew these things without any sportswriter's input.

Sallee was a Bleacher Report guy IIRC.
Can’t say I followed him, but seems like when he was mentioned over the years in regards to LSU it was negative.
If he said what is in the original post, has picked AU over LSU the majority of the time over the last decade, and picked Clemson in the NC, I’m not very interested in his opinion.
What really has to stick in his craw is the “difference maker” quote. On May 18, 2018 I have a screen shot on my phone of a text using that exact phrase that I sent to an AD in our dept.
I didn’t know Burrow that well, I knew CUM signed him and worked with him for 3 years, and he almost won the starting job. Anybody who knew LSU could tell you that a QB with that resume would be a “difference maker”.

Newsflash. LSU surprised many last year.
LSU was ranked #7 in the AP preseason poll. Now if you want to base your statement that LSU beat 4 of the 6 teams ranked ahead of them. That's fine. But the fact of the matter is that Sallee said Bama was a sure loss and it was more likely that we lose to "lose three of those than one” between Texas, Texas A&M, Florida and Auburn so Sallee is basically a clueless frick.

And he has a Jack Bauer twenty fourhead

That guy has never had a kind word for LSU. If I had to guess, he is in the “OSU would have beaten LSU if they played” camp.

Las Vegas Futures market last August, had LSU favored ATS in every game sans the trip to TTown in 2019.
And even the Tide as preseason double digit chalk in that tilt, it had dropped to as low as 4.5 Thursday at some joints, and back at 6 by kickoff.
And though Sportsbooks egregiously hung LSU low at 9 flat last preseason on some Futures markets, they had LSU favored in every game sans Bama..
Quite the gulf.

After reading this my Evangeline Parish mother would only say:

With predications like this, he’ll have his own TV show in no time.

He’s never really bought into LSU. Moscona had him on after Texas game. He said himself he’d be more open to LSU if they would just adjust. He said he was a believer after that. But he thinks LSU is fools gold.

His NC pick and his explanation was pretty laughable.
