Have you ever been on campus in Tuscaloosa? One of the wealthiest universities I have visited in the south.

Yes I have been. But that’s not what I’m talking about…

Bama’s GDP is less than LA despite having 1M more people.
I have no idea how NFL players compare but in terms of industry they don’t compare.
If you consider GDP per capita, Alabama is near the bottom and LA is middle of the road.

This is a reality check for the Alabama Elephants!
No Saban and it's not as easy as it once was!

Bama, sing now.
"We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun."

The ugly truth about Bama is they don’t have all that much money
BS … Alabama has money. Since Saban arrived in 2007 and started winning NC’s, student enrollment surged dramatically from under 24,000 to nearly 40,000 students in 2024. Most of the students were from out-of-state and international students, fueling a significant economic boom

Oh he cares. He made his living in Alabama.

It's comparable because they give back to the school. Alabama is the only sport in the State. Auburn might as well be in Ga. Here in La, there are Pro football and basketball teams, LSU Baseball, and Mardi Gras.

Finebaum is a Tenn. alum? Yes he is. But he lived in Birmingham longer than he did in Tenn. He is far from an equal opportunity fan as he lives & dies with bama. He's on a first name basis with Ms.Terry, and a few yrs ago he was the "celebrity" coach at bama's Spring game.

They going to raise our taxes to get another coach. Because you know governor memaw won't pass a lottery because of the creeks

It is widely known that Finebaum is a HUGE Bama fan, irrespective of where he graduated from.

The reaction when DeBoer lost his first game of the season was … out of control . That is why , my friends , the LSU job is the best job in college football .

What is his buyout?
He'd be owed 90% of his remaining contract value. After this season, that's about $60M.

Exactly. I suggest everyone go check out the most recent Jacques Talk on YouTube with Jordy Culotta. He said it’s a dirty little secret that Bama has no money like they did under Saban. Go give it a look. Good stuff.

Tell us about that industry you speak of

Auburn has many wealthy alums/supporters in the state of Alabama. No other school in LA has anything close to the athletics support ($$$) that LSU has.

In 2024, Louisiana's economy (GDP) was larger than Alabama's, with Louisiana's real GDP around $256.4 billion compared to Alabama's $252.66 billion, though both states experienced growth, with Louisiana's economy up 3.1% and Alabama's increasing from the prior year's $245.35 billion. Louisiana held a slightly higher economic standing in the SEC region
