Which LSU national championship would mean the most to you if you had to pick it in one of these sports?

It's always football for me.

Would love to see LSU win the NCAA tournament one year though, that would be sweet. Just not a big fan of the one and done college game right now, hopefully it changes.

Anymore in baseball is just lagniappe with already seeing 6.

Seeing one in basketball would be amazing, but football is king.

Football by a long shot, then basketball because March madness is a big deal these days and it brings a lot of attention our way, baseball last but not in a bad way. It’s only last because we already are a blueblood in baseball and it is the least of national importance. Coach O winning a championship would cause utter chaos in the CFB universe!

Poll would look something like this:

85% Football
12% Basketball
3% Baseball

Football, 10-15 years ago. Nowadays, baseball and basketball.

Alabama dominance, the joke of the playoffs system, and the corporate feel to college football make it a shell of its former self in my opinion.

Louisiana and the Deep South in general just aren’t huge hoops fans. If Will Wade starts winning at the highest level, I’d hope our fan base would get behind it and start selling out the PMAC for everything such as the exhibition games like UK does.

As much as baseball is my favorite sport, I'd have to say football. Imagine LSU nation going wild after winning the whole thing, or better yet, being in the stadium? It would be absolutely wild.

Football, and it isn't particularly close.

Then basketball.

What an absolutely idiotic question. What kind of person are you if you have to ask? Forget your favorite sport if it's not football for a moment. Which one gets the most money, brings in the most students, instills the most pride, gets the most national spotlight? It's not bowling (which is an NCAA sport, and I wish the best to any bowling Tigers out there, hoping you win it all); it's football.

For me, basketball.

1. I'm a big college basketball fan in general
2. LSU hasn't won one in the modern eara even though they have come close and had some great teams/players
3. Unlike football, there is generally no controversy over the basketball championship. In football there always seems to be some sort of controversy, largely surrounding who deserved to be playing for the title (see: Bama last season even though the only reason they were in is because Auburn had to play in the SECCG and lost; See Bama 2011; See Florida 06; Auburn being left out in 04 despite going undefeated, etc, etc.). The NCAAT may not be the "best" way to get a champion, but I can't recall any instance where a team that won it clearly should not have been in the tournament in the first place. But even if they were, that team still had to win 6 games to get the title

The only wrong answer is the one you just gave. The question is about an opinion. An opinion cannot be wrong. Baseball is my favorite sport, so I pick baseball. If someone else picks basketball, their answer is also correct.

If we win a football title once a decade I would be ok with never winning the NCAA tournament or CWS ever again and I mean that.

I love LSU baseball and Basketball but nothing comes close to LSU football.
