They actually played Taylor Swift. Though it was the same halftime show as they did in Starkville

This has to do with the "concert-style" halftime shows that TB is performing later this year. There won't be time for other bands. Letters have been sent to various schools not to even bother sending their bands the rest of the year. I think it's a disgrace, and the big wigs and corporate types are moving to make college marching bands practically irrelevant. Alabama's Bryant-Denny Stadium is already like an NFL venue, and the once proud "Million Dollar Band" has been made an afterthought. They are more like a "Tree-Fiddy Band" now.

Auburn's band is trash. Every time they have played here, they walk off of the field at halftime while our band is performing. Common band courtesy is to observe the home band when you are done. Every high school and even does it. Hate em.

Unless it's southern's band then I really don't care about any band, they are all pretty boring to watch.

Did they play a new song for every missed tackle they had?

LSU is not under any obligation to allow visiting bands to perform. Doing so cuts short the halftime shows Tiger Band prepares.

And they wonder about attendance problems. Degrade the game experience, raise prices on everything, then wonder why there is a problem at the gate.

Rumor I heard was that Aleva sent a letter two weeks ago telling Auburn they would not be allowed to perform on the field at halftime. If thats true, it sucks.
Something to do with them classlessly playing over the LSU Alma Mater I hope.

A school the prides itself on game day atmosphere thinks it is a good idea to ban visiting bands. Nice.

I agree. I've already heard that the Aggie band has been told they aren't marching either. Let them all march, it doesn't bother me.

I hate Auburn's band almost as much as I hate Alabama's band. Both pull the same shite.

Sadly, what you heard is true. Auburn's band rehearsed at Parkview yesterday morning, so I had the opportunity to hear them and their director said that a few weeks ago the athletic department sent them a letter saying they could not perform at halftime, even though Auburn had booked hotels and everything for the whole band. This definitely needs to be changed because even though they are Auburn, their band is fantastic and I enjoy hearing them march.

They still went to the game so they could maintain their tradition of playing over the LSU band.
