At what point last night did you realize that we had it in the bag?

For me it was when Pearson hit the 2-run homer to put us up 9 to 2. That was my "oh shite, we're really gonna win this thing" moment. Up to that point, I was still a little worried about a comeback.

When Hurd got out of the 1st inning without more damage and came back better in the 2nd.

Probably the Pearson HR for me. First time I felt relaxed.

I was still nervous at 10 run lead tbh.

Pearson HR no doubt. Once we got to a 7 run lead there was no way Florida could start a rally then keep it going through Skenes

I don't ever want to upset the baseball gods and start celebrating early. But, last night after we went up 10-2, I said only to myself, WE GOT THIS!

Honestly, when Thompson got his first hit and the 7/8/9 hitters cranking the hits out shortly after. Thompson getting that hit, to me, was like a load being lifted. We were here to win.

When they showed Skenes walking to the bullpen.

When Hurd got it working I knew we were too far out front for them to contend with our arms for the rest of the game and that their arms were shot.

Hurd at that point was going a min of 5, that only left 4 innings for Coop, Herring, Guidry and if they had any run at all we had Paul sitting there. It was over.

Up 7 knowing Skenes is waiting if needed, it was over. Florida knew it too.

The 4th inning did it in. I knew we could plug in Skenes, and Florida was dead to rights.

When we answered their run with our runs for the 2d time (I think in the 6th or 7th inning) I knew they would never come back because the bats were too hot

When Skenes jogged back to the dugout.

Close second was when Jobert homered and just stood there staring at the ball like a little kid.

Awesome night. I believe I’ll watch the replay many times.

I said in a group text that Jobert had to be sent to 2nd by the 1st base coach when Thompson got that hit, b/c he was still standing there with his mouth wide open in shock
